“take the shuttle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014

We took the shuttle, green bus, to Eielson visitors center, our driver, Nan C, was excellent sharing all kinds of information with us and stopping for photos whenever there was a wildlife sighting. Even though the road is dirt it was not bumpy, but the windows do get very dirty. There are window washing supplies at the stops that help a little.

“Wonderful trip lots of views and animals”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014 via mobile

We did the 8hr trip to the Elision visitor center. Would have gone further if there wasn't so much rain that got the bus windows muddy. The trip was still nice and we enjoyed it. 8 hrs sounds like a long time on the bus, but we stopped often to look at animals and for bathroom breaks. We had a lot of fun and the views are wonderful. You have the opportunity to get off and hike anywhere and flag down a different bus and get on (as long as there is room). This is a must do at Denali national park!

“Amazing beauty”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

We went to the end of the line, all 92 miles. Our bus driver was awesome-he pointed out lots of animals and let us have plenty of time to look and take pics. At the end of the road we had a yummy lunch at the lodge, followed by a choice of activities-we chose the gold panning demonstration which was fun-too bad we didn't strike it rich this time....

“Worthwhile Trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014 via mobile

We did the 8+ hour bus tour that most visitors do to get a good overview of Denali National Park, which takes you 62 miles in. A very worthwhile trip with a lot of wildlife to see, including bear, Dahl sheep, caribou, arctic hare, and many others. The bus windows open so picture taking is easy, but having a telephoto lens and a rapid fire digital camera is a must. However, you can also live without the telephoto.

Our guide was knowledgable but a bit odd in his presentation of information, but overall was good. Would have liked more stops, but these trips are planned out and time is likely limited. The stop at the National Park center was too short though.

On the way back we stopped at park headquarters and saw the visitor center. Good displays. We heard a ranger talk about moose that was very informative. Wish we would have had more time in the park but we do understand that the needs of wildlife trumps that of people. Great experience overall.

“Well worth the time!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014

It was a long ride into the park, but it was one we would do again. Unbelievable scenery; wildlife we never ever imagined we'd see; an incredibly knowledgeable bus driver/tour guide - all made for an amazing experience.
