“Wow!”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

Mt. McKinley cleared up enough for us to take the airplane ride to see it up close. The pilot (Shawn) was fantastic. He knew the history of the mountain and the different terrains and where to take us to see them. He was very accommodating to the photographers as he made sure both sides of the plane saw everything. It was not priced too bad, but we would recommend it highly if given the chance to go.

Dear Jayne Y,

We're so glad that you had a fantastic flight through the Park with Shawn, and that you had the chance to take some great photos! Mt. McKinley certainly is quite a site to see up close! We appreciate your recommendation.

Kind regards,

“Best part of our trip!! Well worth every penny you won't regret it....”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

Took the bus ride into the park we saw 5 grizzly bears, moose, caribou, fox and sheep. We had a great lunch at the Kantishna Roadhouse, the food was more than we expected. Then we sat through the Iditarod presentation which was very informative. Then the best part of the trip, we took the plane ride out to Mt. McKinley, where our pilot Roger made us a member of the 30 percent club, not only did we get to see Mt McKinley we saw it up close and personal. Our pilot Roger was very informative, willing to answer any question. I was able to take really awesome pictures and video. We would do it again if we have the opportunity. Highly recommend the entire package you won't regret it. Kantishna Air Rocks!!! Thanks Lorie and Cody

Dear Lorie and Cody,

Seeing 5 grizzly bears, moose, caribou, fox and sheep in Denali National Park is awesome. Lunch and the husky demonstration at the Kantishna Roadhouse is awesome. Flying with Roger over the Alaska Range is awesome. And you are awesome.

Thanks for being awesome,

The KAT crew

“Worth Every Penny”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

We flew from Merrill Field to Kantishna aboard KatAir. What a flight. There is no other way to get as close to Denali unless you climb it, and even then you wouldn't get the breathtaking perspective of its grandeur that you do aboard a small plane. This was among he most memorable experiences my family has ever experienced together. Absolutely amazing.

Dear Randy D,

We're thrilled that your family had such a memorable experience flying together from Anchorage to Kantishna! We agree that the breathtaking perspective and grandeur are unmatched, and more than anything, we're glad we were able to share it with your family. Thanks, also, for staying with us at Skyline Lodge and for taking the time to share your thoughts with the TripAdvisor community. We appreciate you.

All the best,

The KAT crew

“Worth the Splurge!”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

In the interest of preserving our sanity and comfort, my husband and I decided on taking KAT Air into Denali National Park and riding the bus out. We did not want to completely skip the land portion (and I'm glad we didn't), but we didn't want to spend 13 hours on a school bus either.
KAT Air was the perfect solution; their pilots are very skilled for the route and have lots of interesting information to share about the park on the flight seeing tour. It was such a beautiful trip - there is nothing like seeing the park from up above.

“A life memory maker”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

We took the 92.5 mile bus ride into Denali and then flew out. It was so worth the fee. We saw grizzlies, caribou, elk and eagles. Our bus driver/tour director, Krista, was great. Very friendly and informative and she would stop whenever a passenger yelled out that they saw wildlife. She even gave us homemade chocolate chip cookies. The bus was like a school bus but had more comfortable seats. It is somewhat better being on the driver side of the bus to see some of the sights.
Andy was our pilot and he was superb. It gives you such a different perspective being in the air. The variety of colors are unbelievable. Just awe inspiring. This day was the highlight of our 2 week Alaskan vacation. Matt was also instrumental in going the extra mile in retrieving my lost cellphone.

Everyone from Matt, Krista and Andy were topnotch!!
