“The best way in”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 September 2013

They get visitors in and out by the busload. Like a busy bus depot. Use their modern bathrooms, as the "pot toilets" are an hr or more apart. Got a Starbucks too. Nice to have a Venti Latte for the ride. Snacks too. Full buses, so reserve in advance, on line or by phone

“Out in the cold”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 September 2013

The center itself had snacks, hot and cold drinks and pamphlets/books for sale. We met here for the Shuttle tour into Denali Park. No one said that when you returned the WAC would be closed with no way to contact the hotel for a pickup ride. We stood in the rain (no covered shelter where they pick you up) waiting for the hotel shuttle. So be prepared next season.

“A school bus ride like none I've had”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 September 2013

we took the Tundra Wilderness Tour thru the Park on a school bus as this is the only transportation the park allows. We were gone for about 6 hours and though this is a bit long on a school bus (not your most comfortable transportation ever!) we saw a lot of beautiful scenery and quite a few animals in the wild like bear and her cubs, Dahl sheep, caribou and a magpie.

“Buy your bus tickets here”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 September 2013

A must stop if you want to book a bus tour. Better yet, book online and pick up your tickets here. There are snacks, bathrooms and a gift shop here.

“Buy Your Shuttle Bus Tickets Here. Free Advice. Free Water.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 September 2013

We purchased our shuttle bus tickets to Wonder Lake the day before the tour. If you really want a specific tour at a specific time, book in advance. We were lucky to have a great person behind the counter help us coordinate free shuttles between our lodge and the W.A.C. They have super clean bathrooms, faucets to fill your water bottles with clean water, a small info center, and a coffee shop. No food or water is sold inside the park while on a tour or a shuttle, so if this is your last stop before hopping on a bus you should take advantage of the food and drinks available for sale. It is also a good idea to arrive early for your shuttle to ensure a good seat. Seats on the left side of the bus have better views. Important to note that the W.A.C. is not the same thing as the Visitor Center. A free shuttle bus runs between the two locations.
