“WOW!”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

This restaurant had specials ranging from halibut to pasta all prepared exquisitely at a quality that surprises. Service is good, consistent. Desserts are worth saving a little room for--the rhubarb coffeecake was WOW...the cinnamon buns are dinner plate sized.

“Meatloaf!”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

When we booked accommodations at McKinley Creekside Cabins we were hoping for great rooms, which we had, but we were not expecting the food. The first night there we decided to try the restaurant, because we were tired and did not want to go far. I am so glad we did!! I had the meatloaf that first night and it was fantastic! We ate another dinner there, rib night, was wonderful and breakfast the next morning. Their pancakes are amazing, full of blueberries and pecans. We had a large party, 10 people, but they were always able to accommodate us. I highly recommend McKinley's Cabins and their restaurant.

“Amazing Food”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

We had a group of five ladies and each ordered something different and each dinner was great. The chicken pot pie was full of chicken and veggies with a great crust. One person had the veggie lasagna and she said it was too unbelievably good. The restaurant is small and you might have to wait for a table. But, it is well worth the wait and you will not be disappointed.

“Dining in Alaska”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

We rented two of their cabins while driving from Denali to Homer, so we got to eat in the cafe for dinner, and breakfast the following morning. Food was very good and servers were very friendly. Managed to resist those huge cinnamon rolls, regretfully.....they sure looked mighty tempting. The granola packets in the cabins were so excellent that we determined we absolutely must stop on our return trip to Fairbanks, which we did....and they gave us several packets to take home. Understand that these can also be ordered on-line. Memorable visit.

“didn't expect that there!”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

we stayed at the mc kinley creekside cabins for 3 nights, so we had breakfast, lunch, dinner and a box lunch, all from this little cafe, in the middle ofalmost nowhere.....yes, service is not very fast, probably because of 1 or 2 waiters working alone.... having said that, the goat cheese appetizer was just heavenly, and i ended up ordering it on 2 different occasions. portion size is very generous. the fish tacos were also good, as well as the burger. the pancakes... oh dear! you could split the order for the entire table!!!! 3 huge pancakes! their cinnamon buns are also gigantic to say the least, but very tasty, although i took most of the glaze off. the greek app was also pretty good! they have lunches to go, for when you go to denali with no food for sale, and the boxes have a sandwich, chips fruit, water and i cant remember what else! very good option if you order it the night before and pick it up the next morning! if you are around denali, definately go!
