Yes, there was a fantastic view along with your food - and the food was outstanding - very large portions. The wait staff consisted of summer workers and they were delightful.

We found this little restaurant on Tripadvisor and would like to make note- never judge a book by it's cover! It's not fancy & the menu isn't huge, but they make an amazing cheeseburger! The food was fresh, well prepared, & servers friendly. They also had a good selection of fresh baked goods for dessert in a case- too hard to pass up!

Discovered the café on our road journey from Anchorage to Fairbanks at Mile 224 from Anchorage.

Our first visit was for a quick snack, a soup and drink. First eating establishment we had passed for a while so the timing was perfect.

The café is fairly small, around 25/30 seats. A number of lodgings/cabins are situated here as well. Impressed with the snack on our first visit, we decided to call a few days later on our return trip.

A brunch menu is served on a Sat and Sun until 2PM. Arriving at around 12PM, the café was full. A very short wait for a table and we were soon seated and served coffee. I opted for the Wild Alaskan Nutty Blue Cakes ($10.99), a huge stack of pancakes with nuts and blueberries. Ordinary pancakes were available for $7.99. Over the table, my wife was served a good sized helping of French Toast ($8.99).

The waitress apologised twice for the wait for our food (which in all honesty wasn't that long) as we had just hit the end of a rush.

There are some seats on a patio outside if its nice

We spent a good hour over brunch/coffee and after a visit to the clean toilets, left for our onward journey replenished.

A great place to stop in the absence of anything else in the vicinity Given its location, prices were no dearer than anywhere else we visited whist travelling.

Noticed if you were staying at the cabins, that as well as breakfast in the café, there were two options for a breakfast ($10.99) and lunch ($12.99) take away.

We stayed at McKinley Creekside Cabins in July while visiting Denali with friends, and we loved it! Like other reviewers, we weren't expecting that they would have such a great café as well. The food was so good that we ate all of our meals there. The servers were very friendly, and fun, and you could tell that they really enjoyed working there. The atmosphere is warm and cozy...and the food is fantastic! Everything we had was very fresh, and I believe made from scratch. The cinnamon rolls were fresh and the largest we had ever seen! Breakfasts were excellent, and the pancakes were some of the best ever...very light, fluffy, and tasty! Some of our group ordered the chicken pot pie after seeing many people enjoying it the night before...it was out of this world. All of us were delighted with everything we ordered...and I would recommend saving room for their fabulous desserts. Would definitely recommend McKinley Creekside Café, and the Creekside Cabins as well. We loved it here!!! We saw a female moose early one morning drinking from the creek near our cabin...the server told us that she had two babies...would have loved to have seen them, too!

This restaurant had specials ranging from halibut to pasta all prepared exquisitely at a quality that surprises. Service is good, consistent. Desserts are worth saving a little room for--the rhubarb coffeecake was WOW...the cinnamon buns are dinner plate sized.
