The wildlife is spectacular and since they are used to so many visitors, you can get close and the birds don't fly away. Excellent place to take pictures of birds and gators

We found this side of the Everglades less interesting than the Tram ride through Shark Valley. We arrived around 6pm and drove for about twelve miles before turning around.

Compared to Shark Valley I found this area of the Everglades National Park to be more of a drive through the river of grass. We arrived around 6:00 pm and drive for about 12 miles and decided to turn around. The next day at the Tram at Shark valley we were given a guided tour which we found more informative and interestin

This is where your trip to Everglades National Park begins. Pick up a trail map and ask about special programs going on in the park the day you are there. The guided tours are all very informative.

Long drive from Tavernier but well worth it. Lots of interesting things to see and do here.
Stopped @ Robert Is Here fruit stand for a Key Lime Milk Shake before going.

The Flamingo visitors at the end was really nice to drive to and explore also.
