This was truly breathtaking and a remarkable place to see. It is really beyond belief how such a thing could be formed. It really does live up to the title of a natural wonder of the world.

It's been on my To-do list to get down to the river and up in a day and it worked as planned. Left at sunrise and was back at the south rim around noon. I surely would not recommend it for a non-trained person.
I highly recommend the S Kaibab descent and returning through Bright Angel. The landscape is stunning wherever you are.
We stayed in Tusayan and it's been a good decision since all parking places were heavily filled-up. The shuttle bus made things very easy.

This is by far the most affordable way to do the canyon!! Many people we know have done the west rim tour with the skywalk and have said that this is the much better route to go!!!!

Words cannot describe the awesomeness of the Grand Canyon. Each view is unique and at sunset it changes again. We did a small portion of the bright angel trail. Going down easy, coming back....you shall stop many times even if you are in decent shape. My body was ready but I believe it was the altitude was messing with me. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. It is worth the drive, and if you have the time stay in a suite at El Tovar. The hotel is very well maintained, great staff and service (would not recommend eating there). Go and enjoy!!

Trails for hiking, canyons for viewing with a different look throughout the day as shadows cast changes the colors

Sunrise and sunset are spectacular

Stay a few days to Julie trails of different difficulty, or just walk the rim

Helicopter viewing or mule riding. Take this adventure and go with it

The most spectacular view on the planet, and is the only natural wonder that can be seen from space
