Owner description: Colter Bay Marina offers a variety outdoor activities in the center of Grand Teton National Park! Rent canoes, kayaks, and motorboats to explore the nearby bays and islands. Take a lake cruise on Jackson Lake and to Elk Island. Hike nearby lakeshore trails or purchase a fishing license, gear, and tackle at our marina store and find your perfect fishing spot. You'll also find a grocery store, general store, launderette, and restaurants.

Even the laundry managers go out of the way to make a perfect visit to Teton National Park. Make your own daily adventures looking for hidden lakes or seeing birds of prey at a talk by a ranger holding each type. The food choices are available but be savey because some are not worth the price and when the waiter asks if you want this accompanying topping but doesn't say it costs as much as $5.00 more you feel gypped.
Even if in tiny letters at bottom of menu says "costs extra".

The natural beauty and vision is going to stay in your mind forever!

Stopped by and also took the dinner cruise. Good market and gas prices compared to other places in the park. The dinner cruise was so so and think the raft and horse trios are much more fun but if you have really small children this gets you out for the evening. The food is served on an island and there is no shade at the tables and it can be warm. Food is steak, trout, hash browns, salad and none is great but meets the basics. You can hike the island but it is nothing special so the trip is really about the lake to and to the island. On the way they hand out a skunk pelt and then speak quite a bit about hats made of animals. Since I came to see living animals we were a bit turned off about dead animals regardless but understand they were trying to describe the history of the area which was based on trapping.

We have stayed in cabin for 9 days. It is nice place, excellent view on mountains from marina. Fyi - be aware of bears even here! One evening we have seen black bear with cub walking along marina. Recommendation - internal wall in cabin is not nose insulating (so in case somebody stays there you can hear almost everything).

This was a trip highlight! A beautiful cruise, information about the park, and a delicious breakfast cooked on the island with unbelievable scenery.

My husband and two friends stayed at the Colter Bay tent village in late July. It was a great experience. The tent cabin was a perfect mix of the outdoor camping we wanted from our Teton/Yellowstone trip while still a bit cabiny. It rained while we were there and the best part was not worrying about the dew on our tent and knowing our stuff would stay dry. It's an easy drive for day trips to Yellowstone, hikes in the Tetons, and the marina offered canoes for a great excursion on Jackson Lake. I'll definitely stay again during my next trip to the Tetons!
