“Lake Chelan is a Gem”
Reviewed 17 October 2012

The town of Chelan has really grown. It's crown jewel is the beautiful crystal clear water of Lake Chelan. The area is very interesting. There are so many changing views traveling through the area. We will visit again.

“Nice Boat Ride”
Reviewed 5 October 2012

We booked our trip the evening before. There was a lot of smoke in the air from nearby fires and we were concerned about it blocking our view of the mountains. The next morning the wind had blown the smoke away and we had a lovley day for our cruise up the lake. The trip is about four hours up and four hours back with about 90 minutes in Stehekin at the end of the lake. The first two hours up and the last two hours down are not particularly interesting, but the rest of the trip was wonderful. The only wild life we saw was a herd of bighorn sheep, but the mountains were spectacular. The deeper you go into the mountains the better it gets. In Stehekin we took a short tour to Rainbow Falls. The trip was worth the $8 cost. On the return from the falls the bus stopped at a bakery where we were able to purchase a really great cinnamon roll.

We camp here every July and keep coming back for the weather and the scenery. You can't go wrong here in the summertime.

“Not bad in a beautiful location.”
Reviewed 26 August 2012

Beautiful location right off Lake Chelan. We made a reservation for campsite #69. Unfortunately, there's not someone manning the campsites after 5pm so when we rolled in at 6pm another group was in our spot. They were nice and moved to another site but I could see this being a big issue on a busy weekend. #69 is in a great location away from the crowded RV's and next to a creek. The bathrooms were not very clean and if you're planning on taking shower, it costs 50 cents for a cold three minute shower. We took the boat to Stehekin the next day from Field's Point Landing just a few miles down the road so the park provided easy access.

“SO BREATH TAKING!!!!”
Reviewed 30 July 2012

This last weekend 4 wonderful families came together to experience Lake Chelan for our first time. We luckily were able to reserve G1 camp site at the very last minute. From the looks of the calendar that is a very rare to happen. It was 138.06 for two nights and when it was split between the families is hands down the greatest deal around. We ended up having the best view in the camp ground of the lake, and the area was a very large grass area. It is completely separate from the rest of the camp ground so we were not bothered what so ever. After this last weekend we will be going back for years to come... But, we do realize this time that we need to reserve G1 a year in advance. Oh and if you go some how obtain a boat it makes the experience even more amazing. No one in our group owns a boat so we rented on from in town and drove it back to the camp ground. We all had the time of our lives!
