Great place...beautiful....supreme location....great views..peaceful...top-notch restaurant on site.

Slow internet...poor phone service (if you care about that stuff).

Decent rooms....all you need..... peace and nature makes it a great place to stay.

Thank you for the Great review! The WiFi and phones are currently running slower than normal with the minor road construction in the park. Please join us again. All the best, Brandy Frederich, Assistant General Manager, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Loved our visit but also found the lack of wifi a bit disturbing. Room was spacious, beds comfortable, shower a little dated. Would recommend hotel update some of the amenities. Staff not as friendly as you would expect based on price of stay.

Room Tip: Expect to walk a bit and carry everything to your rooms. Look for wildlife ... deer right outside th...

Great place to stay at Sequoia National Park. Lodge was a bit expensive but worth it as the road into the park was so long and windy that it would have been an ordeal to drive the kids in and out of the park each day if we had stayed at Three Rivers. Wifi was very poor to unusable. Better at the main lodge. But then again, we are in the middle of nowhere so whatever bit of wifi came through was a bonus...just wished they didn't advertise that there was wifi. Great rustic feel in the main lodge and dinner was very nice after day of hiking.

Room Tip: Don't expect any wifi so do everything you need to before you arrive.

We depend on WiFi when in remote places for various things from researching what to do, finding trail maps, getting directions, and making internet based calls etc etc etc ... And yes maybe it would be nice to upload a pic or two or the marvelous sights. The WiFi was useless at all hours, even in the main lodge - just unacceptable.

Note that there are no rooms in the "Main Lodge" - just reception, the one (expensive) restaurant, and small gift shop. Even though they call it a "Village," not much to that either. There are 3 separate lodge buildings across the street, a short walk away.

The Wuksachi is indeed a very nice place, and much more convenient than staying at one of the hotels just outside the park. The "mileage" may not seem far but it takes a very long time to drive up winding hills into main park area from each gate, so better to just be there. We were happy with the WL overall and would stay there again. SNP is amazing!

Thank you for sharing your feedback! I am sorry to that the Wifi had such a large impact on your stay. We have observed increase in connectivity issues with the road construction that is taking place in the Giant Forest Area. Wuksachi Lodge was originally named the Wuksachi Village as there were different phases of an expansion project and perhaps one day may expand to additional lodging options. We are delighted to read that overall you were happy with your stay and will be staying with us again in the future! It was our first time staying at this lodge. The location is great inside the park. Wifi was slow and unreliable during our stay but that could have been just a glitch! The food at the restaurant was great and we looked forward to it every night. The most impressive thing was the fair prices for everything, from food to the store. I would definitely recommended this place.

Room Tip: We got a superior room that gave us plenty of room with our 3 kids... View was great as well..

A little pricy but you avoid the really long drives from outside the park. Nice clean rooms for such a remote location. We were able to beat the crowds to our morning locations. One beef - when offering WiFi, make sure it works at reasonable speed - was SLOW in the AM, and almost non-existent during the evening hours. Frustrating.

Room Tip: Don;t expect useful WiFi

Sequoia is a beautiful park and the setting is lovely. However the rooms are below average in style and comfort and we were there while it was warm even at night and we were very hot at night even with fans on and windows open. The park was packed as we were there on July fourth and there was only shuttle parking for the Sherman tree. We stayed here one night and then went early to General trees and beat the crowds so in that regard, it was nice. Overall disappointing experience. If you desire to hike a portion of the park this wouldn't be a bad home base but otherwise, I would find other accommodations.
