This can also be accurately described as a scramble for the bit to reach the rocks where most people stop for photos and a little break. I would not recommend this for folks who are not limber enough to scramble up jagged rocks and ledges. Small children will not be able to climb some of the areas due to limited reach.
This hike has one of the best effort put in to what you actually get out of it. Round trip it is easily done in 30 minutes. To the top of the rocks and back to the road 20-25. Very fun hike! My wife and i do this multiple times a year while on the Skyline hiking other areas. Can be busy on saturdays and holidays.
