This campground gets sort of a bad rap. We stayed here for 7 days and had a pleasant stay. The owners are an asian couple who couldn't have been nicer to us. Our spot was under some very nice shade trees - yes there is not much grass in the parking areas however there are fire rings and picnic tables. We had full hook ups as well . We went down the street to check out the "Andy Guest " state park facilities. ALL of their sites are square gravel pads in the full sun and no trees. This was a former KOA faility and the road has been there a long time - it is thru the cow pasture but it was very pleasant because you are "in the country" . The pool was beautiful, clean and well maintained. The putt putt course needs to be ripped out. You are close to the town and Blue Ridge Parkway but when in the campground its quiet and peaceful. If you are looking for a 5 star - this is not it . If you are looking for peace, quiet and beautiful views - this is your place. We will stay here again !
