“Zion Lodge 25th wedding anniversary”

We booked for July '14 nearly a year in advance staying in a 'motel room', which does not do it justice. Great room, large bed, arts and crafts decor, but best of all was the balcony with the most amazing view and 2 rocking chairs, where you can sit, enjoy the immense peace and quiet and watch the stars. We stayed for 2 nights and could have stayed more. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The outside area of the cabins had a single bench, where we could 'rock' the evening away in...

The entry into Zion National Park is incredible! Thank you, Teddy Roosevelt, for your visionary leadership to develop the national park system.

Our room was very comfortable, VERY nicely air conditioned (it was needed, with temperatures 100++ during the day), although my husband felt his side of the bed sagged too much. Food is okay for breakfast and lunch in the 'cheaper' eating venue--we enjoyed a birthday meal in the 'nice' restaurant on the veranda. Views are stunning; food was excellent. We were very happy and comfortable here.

ZNP is busy, but not as much as South Rim of Grand Canyon. The bus shuttle system is a bit irritating, apparently it has improved traffic flow immensely, so three cheers for the good sense to implement this. If we'd known how simple the shuttle system was, we would have considered staying in a hotel (with swimming pool--none on ZNP grounds) nearby.

The overall experience made Zion our favorite National Park among those we visited.

Stayed two nights and absolutely loved every minute of it. Food was top notch, service was attentive, lodge room was nice. The vibe of the place defies description...especially the after -dinner scene on the front lawn of kids throwing frisbees and families relaxing as deer mingle just a few feet away, all of it set in the breathtaking valley that is Zion. You may save a few bucks staying outside the park but money cannot buy an experience like the Zion Park Lodge.

On our recent trip, the accommodation was changed and we stayed at the Zion Lodge at the base of Zion Canyon. After an incredible journey down into the canyon we arrived at our destination. The cabins were fantastic, they had been maintained as they had been originally built with modern amenities. Beds were comfortable, water was hot. But that was minor as the stunning setting was unbelievable. The lodge was stunning and the meals we had there were of a very high quality. Service was excellent with staff chatting with customers. Being able to maintain this area as it was first established is to be commended as it also preserves the beauty and peacefulness of the area. My husband felt this was the best place he visited on our trip.

Zion Lodge is in the heart of Zion National Park. The backdrop to the lodge is stunning. The shuttle stops at the Lodge every 5 minutes. There are 2 hikes right from the Lodge. The restaurant was awesome, the food was really top notch. Even though we were there during a thundwrstorm we could still marvel at the beauty of the park from our motel room verandah.

We stayed in a cabin and it was comfortable. Being right in the park, we had wonderful views every time we stepped outside. There was a porch where we could sit and enjoy the view. The only downside was that the family in the adjoining cabin was noisy and we could hear them very clearly.

The location, being inside the park, was great. We could walk across the road and take several hikes. The park shuttle system was excellent. The buses ran frequently and were clean and comfortable. There was a recording that gave interesting information about each location as we passed by.

We had a very nice dinner in the lodge restaurant. The service was very good and the view was spectacular.

A downside was that we got no cell phone reception at the lodge. We had to take the shuttle to the Visitor Center to get cell reception.

The video at the Zion museum was very entertaining and informative. I would highly recommend seeing it. It gives the geologic history of Zion, as well as showing the highlights of the park.

Overall, the park is amazing and we enjoyed staying at the lodge.

I really liked this place! I love my old style furnsihed cabin and i loved the rocking chair on my porch. I found the bed comfortable and the bathroom adequate. I found mine clean and i really liked staying here. Staying at the bottom of a canyon is certainly different view wise but I loved it.
