You have to drive up Rt 9 through the tunnel to get to the trail head just on the other side of the tunnel. The drive to the tunnel is incredible with multiple switchbacks and virtually no guard rail (just tire height rocks). We did the hike early in the morning (about an hour after sunrise) and were two of four people on the trail that early. There are a few semi-scary drops and a wooden bridge. The view at the top was outstanding. We explored the area and found several great viewing spots. This is not a strenuous hike, but people that are scared of heights may be bothered by a few spots.
