I stayed two nights as a single traveller. This large, detached property sits in its own extensive garden grounds on the edge of this quiet Dorset village. I received a warm and genuine welcome from Tessa and her daughter Chloe and my room, whilst not large, was very clean, comfortable and overlooked the beautiful rear garden. This room had exclusive use of a bathroom just across the passageway. Continental breakfast (cereals, fruit, croissants, toast etc) is served in the conservatory which also enjoys a view across the grounds. Tessa was very informative and recommended several nearby inns which served meals.I tried a different one each evening and was not disappointed by the quality of the food or the service - both were excellent. Whilst the village of Owermoigne does not have its own pub, the local cricket club welcomes visitors as temporary members should you want to enjoy a quiet drink without the need to drive. Alternatively, why not relax on Long Acre's patio with a glass of wine and enjoy the beauty of this peaceful Dorset retreat.....

A lovely spot to spend a week. Just off a main road but on a quiet lane with a lovely garden. A warm welcome and made to feel part of the the family. Two double rooms, one with en suite and other with bathroom opposite, both comfortable and all clean and tidy. Relaxed breakfasts in the conservatory looking over the garden with cereal and toast was all we needed and the homemade jam was a bonus! Delightful family with lots of local knowledge and information on where to go and what to see. Looking forward to going back next year

Suited us fine . Clean and comfortable and quiet.
Host was delightful. A grand lady . Thank you
We are booking there again in 2014
We are always satisfied with Toast and cereal as we are not big eaters.
A GPS helps a lot when locating the B&B especially if you are going in the dark!

Set on a quiet street Long Acre B&B is a perfect, restful stop over. The hostess, Tessa, and her daughter welcomed us to their B&B and their large back garden. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the bathrooms were immaculate. This large house is divided in such a way that the B&B rooms are separate from the family quarters thus providing a sense of privacy. The breakfast room looks out onto the garden. We enjoyed a large selection of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, juices and croissants for breakfast and did not miss the cooked foods one bit. Tessa has a very friendly manner which made us feel right at home. This B&B is a short drive to the Jurasic Coast, Lulworth Cove and the scenic Durdle Door - all great places for hiking.

We stayed 2 nights with my Mum & Dad and my daughter, was very friendly and particularly helpful with regard to locating and calling the Drs surgery for us. My daughter loved the trampoline, great nights sleep, and despite the temp outside being very hot, the rooms were cool. Great recommendation of the Countryman as well. Many thanks.

Whilst others were charging £65 per night with full english, this B&B charges £70 with continental (limited) breakfast. We were disappointed as they did say comes with breakfast and in general trend, B&Bs and farm houses in country side do offer full English. Maybe our fault, for not asking them if it was full english.

Point is, the room + breakfast was worth, perhaps £60. People might feel its just a tenner extra, no big deal but you would know what I mean, when I meant average house hold priced at £65 for full english.

Otherwise, the deco in room, room facilities was OK. Friendly landlady.

I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed OneStop. The majority of our bookings come through our website which clearly states what the breakfast consists of: juice, a variety of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, croissants, toast, homemade jams & marmalade, freshly ground coffee and a selection of teas. The fruits referred to are usually peaches, fresh strawberries, blueberries, bananas, apples and grapes. We also cater for gluten/wheat free diets. We trialled this breakfast two years ago and have found that our visitors are very happy, through verbal & written feedback in our visitors book. Regarding the pricing, a double room with private shower starts at £60. Please see our website for full description.

We stayed one night at this lovely B&B. The room was exactly what we wanted.

Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, fresh milk provided. Bathroom over the landing for our own use. Breakfast was a good selection of cereals, fresh fruit, home made jam, yogurt and croissant. Service was excellent, very friendly and happy to help.

The village itself is very sweet and we spent an evening chatting to the locals in the village social club.

Recommended.
