We stayed at a nearby b+b and the owner suggested The Hart Inn for an evening meal but urged us to book a table. We thought that a bit odd for a pub 'in the middle of nowhere' but soon saw why. It's a lovely old pub with lots of character; very friendly staff; good beers and the food is just remarkable - in a good way of course. A real gastropub, but without any ponceyness!
