This is a great place for an afternoon stroll. The land tends to be flat so it is great for toddlers and the elderly, even wheelchairs. The lake is picturesque, there are some interesting statues, a nicely revamped play area for children, and you can feed the ducks, buy an icecream, and visit the visitor centre where there is a nice little restaurant too. My only criticism is that one cannot walk right round the lake. You tend to go along for about 3/4 mile, then you have to turn back and retrace your steps. It can also get quite muddy, even on the paths, and sometimes parking nearby is limited and you have to go to the carpark further down the road.
