We needed an overnight stay to break up a roadtrip. I called every other chain hotel that showed up on my map, and no one had anything. I almost gave up and thankfully i did a search again and voila. Springhill showed up. Turns out they had a cancellation. Louis at the front desk was very helpful and made our reservation quickly before it got swept up. Room was super clean and comfy. We had a pool front room with a beautiful gulf view. Soooo relaxing!!! Enjoyed drinks at their tiki bar, Sun rays. The bartender was very friendly (forgot her name). She recommended some yummy places. All in all, I am thankful someone else cancelled cause now I know where we will be staying next trip!!! The pools looked awesome, we didnt have time to enjoy but we are looking forward to next time.

My wive and I, along with our 14 year old daughter, spent 3 nights at the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Pensacola Beach, Florida in late March. Room very spacious with 2 TV's, mini-fridge, coffee maker and wi-fi. Good looking workout room, free newspapers, good breakfast. Three pools and a Jacuzzi right on the beach. We paid around $220 per night for 2 doubles, sofa sleeper, pool view.

All the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. Hotel is well maintained and make a very nice presentation. Located on the beach not too far from the pier and many restaurants and shops. Very family friendly.

Room Tip: Pool view facing west offers good views of beach.

We came back to Pensacola Beach for a second time and decided to stay here again because we really, really enjoyed it the first time. We were on vacation the middle of August of last year. We decided to get a room with a pool view and Gulf view, which is in the "L-shape" portion of the hotel. We liked it fine, but really preferred the room we had 2 1/2 years ago, which was an Island View and Partial Gulf View. The partial Gulf/Island View was much more reasonable compared to the Gulf/Pool View. Plus you didn't have to worry about other people staring at you from all the other balconies. The partial Gulf View was much more private and also quiet. We'll definitely get a room on that side of the hotel the next time. We noticed that they didn't do any improvements in the rooms. The carpet is looking pretty old, and some of the decor is not as nice as in some of the newer hotels. For as much as they charge for the rooms, a few upgrades are really desirable. The breakfast buffet and staff were as good as the last time. The water was pretty clean, but we did see some traces of oil from the Gulf spill in the sand and also had it on our bathing suits and skin, but it was very minimal. Our daughter, who was 7 at the time, enjoyed all three pools, especially the kiddie pool. We had one problem with a strange smell coming from the fridge, and housekeeping took care of it right away. Housekeeping picked up our daughter's robe by accident. It was found later after we had returned home, and the hotel made us pay for the shipping expenses. Overall, the stay was great though, and the Gulf view and beach experience were so relaxing. We plan on coming back. One more thing, when going to the beach, we would take the elevator all the way down to the garage level. That way, you don't have to walk through the breakfast area and walk by the pools with all your stuff. I need to mention one more thing ... one night my daughter threw up all over the bathroom floor in the middle of the night. We had to call housekeeping since we didn't have any cleaning supplies. They sent someone within just a few minutes, and the gentleman put his plastic gloves on, and took care of the whole mess. We were very thankful.
