Very rude service and all waitresses and waiters were consistently showing a face palm to you. After we changed one dish in our order from lobster to prawn, the waitress was even temperamental worse.

Maybe, they mistakenly or intentionally served us a wrong plate of prawns. We order a plate of prawns with creamy or milky sauce, but they served us the prawns with salty black soya sauce, This was totally unacceptable. Soup was full of pepper and vege was too old to be eaten. Only the egg was ok.

We should have gone to Long Huang or Lobster King instead of this restaurant. Kokka instant noodles are better than their dishes in my opinion. Need no to waste your time here.

They have shifted to a new location. It is very easy to locate, and along the sea. Lobster is still the main draw, and it is much cheaper than having them in Singapore. However, the food is inconsistent. We ate there on two separate days, and the same food taste different. Example the HorFun. First day we went there, it was very nice, wet and it taste great. The next day we went there again, as we like it very much, but was disappointed the taste is not the same. However, still worth the trip for your lobster craving, thou be prepared to easily pay a few hundred Singapore dollars.

A group of nine of us visited Sg. Rengit on 29 May 2014 &
visited this restaurant

As many of us in the group had visited this restaurant 2 months ago,
we should have tried another restaurant but some in the group wanted to
"play it safe" as some have not dined in Sg. Rengit before.

This time we decided on a value-for-money selection of dishes like
small clams (siput) in sambal, gong-gong (small conch), vegetables fried in
garlic, sotong, boneless chicken, steamed fish & ostrich meat.

The cooking standard is OK

We avoided the expensive seafood dishes like lobsters (MYR180/kg), large
prawns & bamboo clams.

Nevertheless we had a very satisfying meal without the "heart-burn" over
expensive seafood

Overall verdict : Average but pricey & popularity over-rated

We will try the other seafood restaurants in Sg. Rengit the next time around.

i was there with a group of gfs Nov 2013. Comparing 2013 to date, the food quality has dropped tremendously.
1. There is too much MSG in the food;
2. Though it is cheap by Singapore standard, you need to drive about 168km on E22 to highway92 to get there;
3. The vegetables they served was so old that you dont buy them in the market;
4. The clams was so a disappointment - one my favourite dish, but small and half the plate of the shells are closed, ie unedible;
5. The bamboo clams were not so fresh and overdone;

Ambience:-
The place is full of huge flies - so you got to move one hand to wave them away while you eat, even in the aircond room;

Service:-
1. No one changes your plates;
2. They serve all the dishes together, regardless of whether you have finished one yet - so by the time i hit the steam fish, its cold. Or the cereal prawn.

Having said that, to be fair, this restaurant looked the most decent and hygenic one in the area.

Will not return for another time.
