The absolute bottom line for a hotel is that I be able to sleep. The Korb has a wonderful setting and fabulous view but you sacrifice peace and quiet for that. The part of the hotel we were in had no air conditioning and we were there on warm nights. The outdoor terrace and the parking lot were under our room and alot of others. On both nights that we stayed there, there were groups of people on the terrace whooping it up and having great fun so we had the choice of sweating in the heat with windows closed or waiting til the wee hours for the noise to stop. Complaints to the management were ignored. We would never go back and would not recommend it to a friend.

Quiet, great views around. Good places for walk. Good hospitality. Great wine cellar.

Room Tip: The best room is in the tower.

We stayed for one night during a trip around Slovenia and Italy. It was our most expensive stop but we enjoyed every minute of the luxury and especially the location. We were lucky to have a room overlooking the vineyards with a large balcony to sit and relax. We chose to upgrade to half board and this was well worth it as the food and wine from the owner's vineyards were spectacular - particularly as we ate outside on the terrace.
A fantastic selection of food at breakfast too and champagne was included! Perfect!
Before we left for our next destination we took advantage of a swim in the indoor pool. All in all, a relaxing experience.

Impeccably reliable service at reservation time.
I contacted the hotel to specify a few details concerning my reservation and I was impressed by the openness and professionality of the interlocutors. Such outstanding reliability is not frequent to be found at reservation time, when many hotels will tend to slightly oversell.
I could not complete the reservation because the specific service I was looking for wasn’t available, but I will definitely consider this hotel next time.

We really enjoyed this hotel. We stayed in room 80 that had a lovely view of the mountains and the valley. We enjoyed a great evening meal in the restaurant although the portions were not large and we left a touch hungry. The owner clearly takes pride in his hotel, evidenced by the hotel's name and the owner's face being on almost everything tangible within the hotel. In my humble view, it was a little much. But they clearly have a hotel and restaurant (and wine!) to be proud of. The highlight of our stay was perhaps the breakfast that we had outdoors, with a stunning backdrop. Very relaxing, romantic and breathtaking. We would stay here again.

My wife and I spent 3 nights in June. Wow. What a wonderful experience. The views are spectacular. The castle is beautiful...full of medival furniture, art and other items which give you the feeling you are staying with royalty. It's close to Bolzano but far away from noise and the highway. Rooms each have a theme but are not overdone. The service is top notch. The restaurant is terrific - both for breakfast and dinner. There are two pools which are very clean and perfect temperature. I would stay next time in southern Alto Adige.

If you are looking for quiet, peace, good food, spa and wellness facilities with a superb view. Only one address : Schloss Korb.

Very good hotel. Has got 4 stars but has potential for 5 if they improve some minor points.
