Simple but very nice hotel. 6 or 7 rooms all fully equipped. Good breakfast and dinner, made by the owners themselves and also served by them. Very kind people who will treat you as though you were eating at a friend's house. Relaxed atmosphere in a similar location. The towns of Cinque Terre are close by (15-20 min beautiful drive to Manarolo) on a beautiful road. We very much enjoyed leaving the towns that became quite busy at times for our tranquil village with small hotel. So if you like relaxed, simple and easy this is the place to go.

We stayed here from April 18-20, 2013, and we loved it. It's located in the beautiful little town of Corvara, which is far from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's also not far from the beautiful towns of Cinque Terre. We were able to get to Monterosso al mare in just 20 minutes by car. It's the perfect location to avoid the tourist traffic of the Cinque Terre, but still be able to visit them and enjoy their beauty. The town of Corvara itself is in the midst of the mountains, and it offers a beautiful view of the surrounding mountain range. We booked our stay through Booking.com, and we got a wonderful deal. They even gave us a bottle of wine. The staff are very friendly and personable. They are also knowledgeable about the area, and can help you make your plans. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet and beautiful vacation.

Room Tip: The room with its own entrance to the "giardino" is a nice plus.

This small family owned and run hotel is located up a hillside in a tiny town about 10 miles north of La Spezia. We visited in the worst time of the year and still found the place charming. The hotel offers six (I think) accomodations. Ours was spartan and a bit cold, offering a good firm queen bed and bare tiled floors. As it was situated in the front of the buuilding the morning sun filled the room. Our hostess Elisabetta speaks english and was very pleasant and attentive. Her son cooks the dinners and the food was different than anything my wife and I had eaten before and generally excellent. Very cozy and homey getaway that you wouldn't find except through the internet.

Very cute small hotel in the centre of Corvara. From here you can easily reach the beaches of the cinque terre or, if you prefer the mountains, you can go trekking toward a beautiful mountain path and reach the sea after ca. 4 hr.
Room are very confortable. The restaurant is nice, I advice book a table for your dinner in the hotel when available. During summer, you can enjoy your dinner in the garden, with an amazing view on the mountains.

Room Tip: Since the hotel is quite small, if your rooms are at the 1st floor, you will be waked up by the noise from the ground floor in the morning.

As other reviewers have commented, it can be a challenge to find this village from La Spezia. We did not have a GPS and made more than 1 u-turn, but we persisted and we were very glad that we had done so.
We had a fairly large comfortable room overlooking the church bell tower (and the evening game of lawn bowling(?))
Wandered around the village and then came back to hotel for dinner. We looked in dining room and were a little disappointed at how dark it looked, hotel staff then escorted us to the beautiful back yard where dinner was actually served. We were delightfully surprised. Good dinner. Breakfast was a little lacking, but was really the only marginally negative aspect of the hotel. We absolutely enjoyed it and would happily go back again.
