Great visit to Northern Cyprus on a family break. Stayed in the rooms in front of the hotel which do not seem that old but are poorly finished. The location of the hotel is great and is ideal for a quiet/relaxing holiday. The beach is not far to walk to and we found it quite pleasant, we always had loungers and shade available. The hotel is not child friendly there are no ramps to get a pushchair in and out of the pool/reception areas to the other side of the hotel. The food is very basic, we arrived at about 9pm on the first night and were given an option of meatballs or chicken doner, we choose the meatballs. We were served chicken,we advised the meatballs had run out, later on the break we were told by another guest that they had the complete opposite scenario! We had a few vegetarians on our trip, if I was vegetarian I would strongly recommend bed and breakfast rather than half board. The rest of the weeks offerings were ok but again very basic. They have a BBQ night on a Saturday and the food was much better. It was struggle to get a smile/acknowledgement a from a number of the staff there. A little courtesy would go a long way. I was never asked once during the stay if everything was ok. There a number of cats and a dog which roam the dining area on a regular basis this could have been policed a little better,I understand their maybe strays but there was no attempt to keep them out of this area. They supply beach towels but on a couple of occasions we had to wait for some to become available. It cost us £250 pp for the holiday, I guess you get what you pay for but a smile and a little more attention to the smaller details would go along way.

Just returned from family holiday at HOtel Sempati...enjoyed very much our stay...the hotel is set off a quiet main road which leads straight to nearest town Kyrenia....We had a good week as we were mainly around the pool all week...Room was excellent we stayed in a room at back of the car park set around a lovely garden...there were some very noisy dogs next door, but we were not disturbed by them...The food in the hotel was a little uninspired and we had a couple of evening meals there then ate out afterwards....the breakfast was a buffet style, with quite a lot of choice, but not varied much each day....
The dolmus are excellent form of transport into town and always frequent....
I did however have a bad fall around the pool whereby a grating collapsed and broke with me ending up in the drainage channel... I was lucky I cut my leg and bruised then shin, but it could well have been broken...The staff did come to assist, but took no details etc, and had I had a worse fall have no idea, where I would have ended up...
All said the worst part of the holiday was the checking in at the airport....nightmare...though the Onurair flight was fine and on time more or less.
Would go back again as hotel very good value for money....

Room Tip: Advise to go for the rooms back of hotel, very short walk and away from main rooms...very quiet...ni...

Just wanted to say that I enjoyed a great week with my 18 year old daughter at this friendly and family run hotel - we just wanted a quick break in the sun and this completely did it.
We stayed in a room sort of apartment like away from the main building of the hotel and it was clean, comfortable with choice of king size and single bed and en suite new shower room. Clean towels every day and maid service to clean and make beds. Food a little repetitive (we were half board) but something to eat every night and bar prices reasonable. We were travelling alone and I was a little apprehensive as I had never been anywhere without husband but perfectly safe and very little interference from staff - all happy to help and very customer focused. Recommend boat trip from Kyrenia for some sea swimming and serious sunbathing plus trips out with hotel reps are good value if you dont have transport - thoroughly recommend this hotel and hopefully will return with husband this time! Great all round for price.

Room Tip: You could ask for a pool side apartment but this is nearer the bar but close to main action - otherw...

We have just returned from a week staying at the Sempati and don't understand why people write negative comments! It is a very friendly family run hotel and for what we paid fantastic value!
We were in a room in the main hotel, a bit tired but fine, I don't go on holiday to sit in a room.
The pool is lovely and plenty of sun beds to relax on, pool towels provided as well. Was not sure when first looked at the little beach, but fine to sit on and swim in the sea, I wore water shoes as quite a lot of stones.
The food was fine, breakfast, a good selection. Dinner, a good cold buffet, self selection and soup. Choice of 2 main meals, different each day which were fine and it is a nice change being served by polite waiters instead of a busy free for all buffet. Then a nice range of desserts and fruit to serve yourself . We often bought lunch and ate on the patio, good choice and not expensive.
The drinks are reasonable so there is no need to bring in from outside!!!
Free wifi, in the nice lobby area and on the patio was a big bonus.
We chose the hotel as we wanted to relax and it was just the place, nice people to talk to. We used the dolmus to go into Kyrenia, very good value, nice to wander around and visit the castle.
We booked the holiday through Cyprus Paradise and a couple of weeks before leaving got an email advising the hotel was full and they needed us to change to another hotel, we did not want to go there, so said so, as did 2 other couple who arrived the same day as us and we all still went to the Sempati !!! Also we were meant to have free in flight food and drink..... But not on Pegasus airlines!!!! Apart from that, good flight, 1 hr on plane at Istanbul airport and a long transfer but food served to us on the patio when we arrived at 10.30pm.
Thank you Sempati we really enjoyed our holiday!!!

Stayed 1 wk 31/5/14. Great price so didn't know what to expect. Hotel ready for updating but in lovely quiet setting with sea to front and mountains behind. Room was big and clean with good view, though in middle so didn't get much sun. Shower room usable but ready for makeover. Towels changed daily but not sheets. Staff were friendly and helpful and our Cyprus Paradise rep was very helpul when we needed him. Reasonable choice of food for breakfast and evening meal but much of it spoilt by having to share it with numerous flies. Free wifi in reception was useful. Pool looked nice though we didn't use it. Managed to get around using dolmus and tour bus plus lovely walks by the sea. Overall a great weeks break for the money!

Room Tip: All hotel rooms have similar pool/sea view, only two storeys high but no lift, middle rooms don'...
