Just returned from a brilliant week at The Barn. Eric met us with a very friendly welcome. There was fresh bread, croissants, butter, eggs, milk and orange juice there for us which was lovely and very thoughtful. There was also everything extra you needed which you usually have to take to a holiday rental....washing up liquid, tea towels, condiments, tea, coffee, sugar etc and 4 toilet rolls instead of the usual 1 !
The bed was really comfy as were the settees. There was even a really large TV which, again, is very unusual in self catering. Plenty of dvds. books and games were provided as well. The bathroom has a large walk in shower with grab rail - much appreciated. There was always plenty of hot water and the heating was excellent.
The Barn is located in a lovely area ideal for walkers as well as sightseeing by car. Would definitely recommend the local pub The King's Head. We ate there twice and the food was lovely and not overpriced. Loved the home made meringues - yummy.
We had a lovely chat with Eric when we left and will definitely be returning.
