This is very much a 'locals' pub which serves food at lunch time & Fish n Chips on a Wednesday night [no meals on other evenings]. The food at lunchtime is always great and reasonably priced, and the Fish n Chips has really taken off well (we've taken away before and it's delicious). It's a shame they don't take bookings. We got there one Wednesday evening and they had sold out, so we just had a drink and left hungry. A tell-tale sign that it's popular perhaps, so get there early.
Great surroundings, great local buzz (there are always people in there) and great food for less £.
