My husband and I went to San Lameer to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It was amazing! The resort was absolutely clean and so safe. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They have amazing , well maintained sports facilities. My husband and I will definitely return to San Lameer.

Whether you are just a nature lover appreciating the exquisite, natural surroundings - or an energetic, fitness junkie, you'll enjoy your stay at this hotel. An exclusive spa, one of the well-known golf courses in the country, gym and swimming pool is only some of the facilities in and around the hotel. For the not so energetic, golf carts are available to explore the beautiful estate.
The four star hotel rises above all expectations re service, hospitality, comfort and attention to each and every guest staying there!
They strive for excellence in all areas of the service provided and do not hesitate to address any issue a guest may raise - a special word of commendation must go to Maxwell, a very observant hotel employee, who regards his service as an honour and not merely a work. The pride shown in his attempt to satisfy guests, is evident in his efficient, yet discreet approach.
The special welcome upon arrival in our room, with rose petals and snacks, was indeed unexpected! We appreciated the sincere gesture!
The long walks to and on the blue flag beach was indeed most enjoyable!
The attention to detail, striving to satisfy each guest, is evident in all they do - even ensuring comfort upon returning to our room, with our bed prepared and water and a chocolate next to the bed.
What makes this hotel different to others? Well, for us it was the environment, being mesmerized by the beautiful natural vegetation, the outstanding service and attention to detail by the whole staff - who indeed reveal their passion for their chosen career, the food, the relaxed atmosphere, the safety and security, the blue flag beach and a hands-on manager! Although, we did not need it, we noticed that this is also a wheelchair-friendly hotel.
The hotel can also be used as a base to explore the wonderful coastal area with plenty to offer! The safety and security of note, is indeed an asset!

Room Tip: No matter which room you choose, you will be satisfied... The hotel is in the middle of a paradise g...

My wife & I stayed at the Mondazur hotel, San Lameer for the first time.Allow me to say whilst we had secured our reservations through Peermont central reservations, the administration on arrival, from the gatehouse to the reception & to the booking out, this was excellent without any hitches at all!
The room we were booked into was pretty good but needs some astheitic attention which we are sure will be attended to as my wife will write them this morning.
Both breakfasts & dinners were excellent. The dining area is very good & so are the parking; walking & other facilities.Staff were also very courteous & helpful. One comment though:exterior walls need some fresh paint.Tx
Would I recommend this hotel, Yes we would! Would we return again, yes we would. Thanks again.

This was probably one of the better holidays I have had in a while. The place is amazing hidden down the South Coast of KZN. The facilities are in abundance and the staff are truly amazing, especially the hotel staff. Went there with my son and we had a truly great time.
With horse riding avilable next door, direct access to the beach and generally great weather, makes for a great experience.

The room was also great top facilities in the room.

Room Tip: Choose a room thats higher up.

I have loved San Lameer for many decades (gosh I'm getting old). As a youngster I remember fondly the jungle-like explorations though terra-cotta clusters of homes en route to the beach or lagoon. The hotel has changed hands many time and I have stayed in it over the years as it moved from Protea to currently the Peermont Group. The hotel remains excellent and I often take advantage of their Sunday Sleepovers which offer ridiculously cheap rates on Sunday nights. Living in Durban, it is a convenient 90 minutes away and the drive is beautiful down the coast at any time of the year.
The hotel is clean, the service attentive and the grounds and atmosphere remain top notch. There are options of having spa treatments on the property and there is a restaurant but to be honest meal options elsewhere in the area are probably a better bet both in price and quality of food. Lunch at MacBanana about 10 minutes further south is an excellent option.
All in all, though San Lameer remains the jewel of the South Coast.
