We have wanted to stay here for a long time and booked for our 1st anniversary, well because of the popularity we actually booked before we got married and it was definitely worth the wait. The restoration of the building is truly magnificent and the interior design stunning. We stayed in the attic which is spaceous, has everything you need and views to die for. Karen and Francis are perfect hosts and have a fantastic knowledge of the surrounding area. The little extras, homemade biscuits, wine and vodka were unexpected but well appreciated. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice including homemade Granola, cereals, fresh fruit and of course the full cooked breakfast all seved in a fantastic dinning room. We were so impresed with our stay we have booked for next year in one of the other fantastic rooms. A beautiful house in a stunning location with outstanding views, everything you could ever want for a special break.

Room Tip: They're all fabulous.

From the moment you lay eyes on the building you know its going to be magical! We stayed one sunday night as a treat to ourselves to relax which is exactly what you get here. The whole castle is sumptuous but what makes it even more so is the little touches that karen & francis have added such as the hand made chocolates, the shortbread, wine in the fridge. The breakfast is fabulous all i can say is make sure you have room for it! We stayed in the "old" bedroom, it has that WOW factor when you open the door, the room is huge!!!!!! We'd planned to go out and have a meal but the room needed to be appreciated. We put the fire on, poured our wine, snuggled up and enjoyed the silence :D If you are looking to create memories I strongly recommend this place & so you can appreciate first hand the love and dedication that has gone in to this building. We are most grateful to you both for sharing your beautiful home.

This is our second time staying at Peel Castle and I urge anyone thinking of staying to book ahead and come, it is well worth the visit.
The family are welcoming and helpful, the room and all the thoughful touches are amazing.
Staying in a castle makes you feel like a little kiddie having an adventure.
We wish the family all the best in the future and hope they continue to have success with the B and B and enjoy this amazing home they have created.

This was our third trip to Peel Castle. Our second in the Attic Room, with friends staying downstairs, who joined us for drinks on the roof terrace on Saturday night, then dinner on our self catering basis. They were stunned at their first visit. We told them how superb the building was, the decor, furnishings & how Karen & Francis look after every small detail in a classy way. The shortbread & fresh strawberries upon arrival. The china tea making facilities, the luxury cotton towels and the superb Egyptian cotton bedding. Every little detail is exceptionally well cared for !! Simply love the place. great setting to visit the Dales, Skipton etc Great rooms. Attic views magnificent. 100% recommended. Well done, yet again Francis & Karen - you've gained two more fans and no doubt more recommendations

Room Tip: They are all great and different, but the Attic room has the roof terrace and a stunning south facin...

Wow is the word my husband and I kept saying at peel castle! We drove up the rural field of cows looking for the castle... there it was! we couldn't wait to get inside. Francis greeted us, a very softly spoken, polite man and he showed us the beautiful dining room and then up the staircase to the square bedroom.....wow!! It was gorgeous, took my breath away at the obvious love put into the restoration and detail. The room had four poster bed, wooden floor, chest of drawers with hot water bottle and hair dryer, large mirror, t.v, huge wardrobe and fridge. The thoughtful extras of red and white wine, chocolates, sweets, water, fresh milk, shortbread, strawberries and strawberry vodka(!!!)were perfect and appreciated. My husband lived the fireplace(so did I aswell!) and even though it was August we lit the fire, perfect! The bathroom was just pure luxury, deep deep deep bath with a huge shower, all spotlessly clean. Robes provided with fluffy towels and candles, all just wow!!
We went to the Italian restaurant in settle , only 5tables and delicious food with lovely owners, highly recommended but book!
Breakfast was fresh and extremely tasty.
Karen introduced herself as we hadn't met her upon our arrival and she was lovely. We checked out but didn't want to leave the castle! The silence is heaven and we will return( looking online after I've done this review) thank you Francis and Karen for being perfect hosts and allowing people to stay at your castle!
If considering booking a stay then just book it!

Stayed two nights in the Attic Room and can thoroughly recommend Peel Castle to anyone who feels a little bit of indulgent luxury is in order. The views are breathtaking as you drink in the surrounding area on your very own private patio aloft with the tree tops. Apart from the splendour of the place you can not fault the wonderful hosts Karen and Francis who simply go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Nice touches with wine chilling in the fridge, sweets, chocolates and homemade shortbread to name but a few extra special 'treats' on your arrival. As for breakfast, you'll go a long way to experience one finer. Lots to do and see nearby. The only down side? You wont ever want to leave!

Room Tip: If you like to go self catering then save a little extra and splash out on the Attic Room you wont b...

As you arrive at the castle it instantly takes your breath away, it's beauty and the scenery around it is beyond words! Karen welcomed us and showed us to the attic apartment, which we had booked for two nights and it was just jaw dropping. The views from the terrace is breathtaking and the silence is deafening.

The castle is amazing in every way, details, decor, furniture and you just have to be there to experience it to understand its beauty. Breakfast was top notch and Karen makes her own bread everyday which was just scrum my!

Will be booking again for sure and is a place to put on your bucket list. There are not enough words to describe the castle but I hope I have given you a good impression of it.

2 nights we states 21st - 22nd August 2013

Room Tip: Any room will be wonderful, just remember the stairs if you find them difficult but this is not a ne...
