Beautiful corner of the earth ..added to by Johnny and Helen who care about what they do and do it so well .be it the well furnished and gorgeous cottages ... we've stayed in nearly every one of them over the years . .to the beautiful barn conversion where we enjoyed great company and music. Love the new addition of the DVD phone box library . . A real gem.. and the kids can run free and the dogs smiled alot x

We had five days at Bach Wen two weeks ago and had a very relaxing stay although it rained everyday. The owners could not have been more helpful. Sunday lunch was great and the Barn bar which opened on the Saturday night was very friendly and gave you a chance to meet the other residents and their dogs. This really is a dog friendly place and we will return again in 2018. I think we were the only ones where this was our first stay, people had been many times and I can see why.

Room tip: All cottages looked great

I'll preface this by saying we had booked for two nights camping but only ended up staying for one because of unexpected extremely bad weather. In spite of this we are determined to go back and visit again.
What we couldn't find out before we went were very many details about camping at Bach Wen, I guess because the main focus is on their cottages and camping pods all of which looked to have great sea views and appeared well kept. We knew that we were booked into 'The Glade' but didn't really have an idea of what that meant re site size, how many other campers would be there and sharing the amenities. We needn't have worried. 'The Glade' is as it sounds. A beautiful, well kept good sized clearing among trees that is one plot to itself. It's plenty big enough for a large family tent but the best bit is that along with the electric hook-up there is a proper fridge in a cupboard in the clearing and a handy hammock just for you. Genius. In any sensible weather this site is perfect for those requiring a little just family time. It is literally three minutes walk to the beach which is stony with some fine sand but lovely with a fire-pit.
The amenities are about the same distance with new looking clean toilets and showers which are part of the same building as 'The Barn' A bar that is open daily from 6 til 8ish and sells a surprisingly wide range of beverages and has an open fire and plenty of seating inside and out. We had ordered dinner on Sunday, cooked by the owners but ended up so drenched we had to cancel, we did smell it however and it smelled great. They had even prepared a vegan meal for us which sounded amazing. The owners even felt so bad about the weather that they wanted to waive all charges but we felt we should pay for the night which we stayed so a slightly damp £20 note was eventually forced into their hands.
As I said, we'll definitely be back, just a shame about the weather this time.

We went to Bach Wen Farm for a wedding. Absolutely stunning views, and very friendly staff. They put up a big marque in the field next to the barn, which was lovely and housed the reception dinner and speeches. The wedding ceremony happened in the barn, which later turned into the bar/ dance floor. Lovely! The night after it held a ceilidh, which was fantastic.
I'm sure the happy couple have got some fantastic wedding photos with the beautiful surroundings!
