Two things here: the restaurant & the hotel. Restaurant: could eat there every day. Just a basic cafe but all the kinds of breakfast foods, smoothies & lunch that I like. Perfect for vegetarians. Got into some fascinating conversations there too. Ok, only there one night, but probably met 6 or 7 people at the restaurant or by my room that I could talk to for hours.
The room: basic. Smelled like new wood. Pleasant staff. Didn't meet the owners: they were gone then. Was on the corner, opened windows on two sides & liked the fresh air & ceiling fan. Downside was street noise. Also could hear the people in the next room. Earplugs recommended, but that was the case with most hotels where we stayed. If not street noise it was the wind (very intense for a few days) or a rattling air conditioner. We did look for a minute at The Landing, & the room we saw smelled of Lysol/cleansers while this one seemed newer/cleaner/fresher. Overall enjoyed our two days & one night there.
