“A splendid place to stay ...”
Reviewed 10 January 2012 for a stay in December 2011

We, myself + Husband + 2 Labradors, stay in this flat at least once a year (always out of season - the village is quieter at these times). It is always made easier by the owner's kind attitude to our odd date requests and the welcoming and cosy way Mrs Stobbs has the flat for our arrival.
The flat is furnished in the manner of comfort ... sort of shabby chic. It is essentially a holiday flat, cosy and clean with comfortable beds which are well presented. There is wi-fi, 'freeview' , cd / radio, etc. It is all there.
From the front door you can access Elie beach, within a few steps. The back door accesses the garden and through to private parking and out onto the golf course. It is excellently situated and perfect for all our needs. It is so easy to walk our dogs from this flat. A doggie paradise for responsible dog owners.
We have just spent Christmas there - everything we needed to prepare for the day was available, including a Christmas tree.
We had a lovely time and would recommend St Johns as a super little holiday flat.
Perhaps one small criticism - maybe a curtain on the street window would make it just a little more private.

Management Response

It is always a pleasure to have returning guests. We are happy to be flexible on start and end dates outwith the peak months of July and August when changeover day is a Friday. Nothing is too precious in the property, we welcome dogs, children and the inevitable sand.
I think a voile curtain on the lower half of the window would be a great idea in the sitting room as it is a very large window onto the street. At the moment we like people to look in and see what a welcoming place it is inside but I agree, a choice would be a good thing.
