“A truly beautiful holiday home in stunning surroundings and attention to detail was second to none.”
Reviewed 11 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

From the moment we turned up Elie house drive and approached Treescape our breath was taken away. Stunning setting and a 10 minute walk to the outstanding beach in Elie, there is certainly nothing to disappoint! Treescape's attention to detail was spot on, from the top of the range appliances, to the bedlinen and towels to the gorgeous Cowshed toiletries. Let's not forget the amazing welcome pack from the local farm shop, very spoilt! It's fair to say we felt very indulged! We were a party of 7 from 14 years up to 74. Four teenagers can be harsh critics but there was nothing to complain about. The Sky package was great, although there is far to much to do with exploring the grounds and heading to the beach to sail, kayak, fish and jump off the pier! If I could move my family and live in Treescape I would! Thank you Simon for allowing us to stay and it goes without saying that we will be back!

What can I say?

Other than thank you so much for taking the time to write such a fabulous review. We're so glad you loved your time at Treescape - and that everyone in your group found so much to enjoy around the house and in Elie itself. We certainly find there are so many things for the kids to do that they never get bored. Though I've not quite persuaded our daughter to jump off the pier yet!

We look forward to welcoming you back. Thanks so much again.

“Ideal luxury family holiday home in beautiful grounds and in close proximity to beach, shops and pubs - just perfect!”
Reviewed 5 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

What a fabulous week's stay we had in the gorgeous Treescape, nestled in the beautiful grounds of Elie House. Having stayed once before with a group of friends, I couldn't wait to go back with my family - and it didn't disappoint! The house is absolutely beautiful, and so incredibly comfortable and well-equipped with every luxury and mod-con. We were a group with ages ranging from four to 79, and it was perfectly suited to everyone. There were lots of toys and great books and movies for the children, and they adored exploring the garden and fantastic grounds, riding around on their bikes and looking at the great wildlife (badgers, herons and wagtails to name a few). The grown-ups enjoyed wandering around the beautiful gardens, and felt so comfortable in the beautifully appointed and proportioned rooms. There are televisions in every bedroom - so no arguments(!), and good wifi access throughout the house. Everyone had plenty of space to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather we had for almost all of the week. It's just a short walk to the gorgeous beach, the great pubs/restaurants, the well-stocked Elie Deli and lovely gift shops, and the Golf Club and Pavilion which had readily available tennis courts every time we wanted to play, and great snacks and drinks too. The lovely Ardross Farm Shop is just along the road with a fantastic selection of wines, gins, charcuterie and delicious ready meals from Cook for the lazier amongst us! We also loved the East Pier Smokehouse just along the road in the fishing village of St Monan's - the perfect place to have a chilled glass of rose overlooking the sea, with the freshest seafood in the region, while the children searched for crabs in the rock-pools at low tide. The best fish and chips in Scotland from Anstruther, and fantastic meals at the Ship Inn and the 19th Hole, topped off our amazing week. Simon was the most attentive host, and the whole process from booking, to access, to close-down, was simple and seamless. It really was the perfect place for a relaxing but active luxury beach holiday - my daughter kissed the outside of the house as we left because she loved it so much and can't wait to go back!

Well, what can I say. If I wanted to write a better review of Treescape myself, I couldn't!

You've nailed just about every reason why our family love being there. And it's made me ache to go back - which is just as well as we've booked a week for ourselves at the start of the school summer holidays!

Thanks again for choosing Treescape; we know there are lots of choices of accommodation out there, so we really do appreciate you coming back. Thanks again - and for the amazing review!

“Luxurious living in perfect setting”
Reviewed 24 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

You could be tempted to stay inside this house all week , it is of such a good standard. However , that would mean missing out on the most peaceful (and child friendly) gardens - actually small estate is more accurate. Very easy walk into Elie for shops, beach, pubs etc. Any number of attractions in 20 minute driving time for children and adults of all ages. It is no exaggeration to sum up as a perfect holiday
choice.

Thank you so much for your kind review. I know what you mean about staying inside! We always feel a wave of relaxation, as soon as we walk through the door. In fact, I'm getting withdrawal symptoms as I write!

Thanks again for choosing Treescape; we really appreciate it.

Thanks Linda, it was a pleasure to host you and your family. Whenever we stay, we usually have a mix of the generations too, and everyone is able to enjoy their stay to the full.

If you want family fun, you have the grounds and woods to play in (as well as the indoor toys and DVDs). If you want a bit of peace and quiet, all you need do is curl up on the sofa with a good book and let the warmth of the house flood over you. And all within a short, private stroll of the beach.

We're so glad you loved the place as much as we do. Thanks so much for your kind words.

“Relaxing environment”
Reviewed 28 April 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Treescape is an excellent venue for relatively large adult or family groups. The spacious kitchen, dining and living areas make for a relaxing environment. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and add to the light and bright effect. Situated in extensive estate grounds, the venue offers a range of woodland walks with the Main Street and beaches of Elie a half mile or so away. The nearby Ardross Farmshop is an excellent source of quality food and wines.
Ideal location for a relaxing break in a lovely area with good restaurants and places of interest nearby.

Thank you for your very kind review. You highlight just how close we are to the beach and the wonderful Ardross farm shop. But what we really love, is you have all of these great facilities on your doorstep, yet given the peace and quiet of the grounds, you'd think you were in the middle of nowhere.

“Superb”
Reviewed 23 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Hi Simon,

We had a wonderful four days through at your marvellous house. We so enjoyed it in every way.

We loved being just that wee bit out of the mad throng of Elie yet so easy to pop down on our bikes to be part of it.

Everything about your house was perfect. We settled in instantly and found it so easy to live in. Kirsty had left it gleaming and your wonderful big windows made it so light and airy that it didn't matter when it rained and we were house bound.

The wee grandchildren loved their bunk beds and being able to go round all the slabs on their scooters. They were very safe there which is so relaxing and all the neighbours were ultra quiet which was a real bonus.

I would thoroughly recommend your house and hope we can return. We loved the Ship Inn, cycling on the paths round the estate, swimming at St. Andrews, Craigtoun Park at St. Andrews, the fish shop at St. Monans and Ardross Farm Shop and of course being on the beach.

Thank you for letting us squeeze in between lets and hopefully we left everything okay. I am sure we will want to repeat our visit.

All the best - Val

Thanks Val, it really does sound like you had a great time; we're so glad.

I think one of the key things about Treescape is the fact that it's set slightly apart from the hustle and bustle of the village - yet you can be on the beach (or with drink in hand in The Ship!) with just a ten minute walk.

Please give us a shout any time you want to come back; you'll be most welcome.
