Stayed for a week Feb, 2014.Spent the first 20-30 minutes just walking the grounds enjoying the landscaping. We originally were put in one of the studio villa's and thought it was great, perfectly adequate for our needs, private and with a nice deck. After 2 nights we were offered a 2 bedroom villa at no extra cost, they said it was just sitting empty so we may as well use it, the gods smiled on us, we tend to be practical folk and this way exceeded any place we have ever stayed. The breakfast buffet was A+ fresh fruit, breads, juices, coffee, etc, plus got to mingle with the other guests in a comfortable open setting. The location on the south side of the island was about ideal, not much traffic and one of the best snorkeling sites is about 300 yards down the almost always empty beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the manager, Vicky was a font of information and never tired of answering our questions. Plenty of snorkeling gear to go around and even provided beach shoes. The kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking and eating utensils and several gas BBQ grills were spaced around the site. On the advice of a local we went to " Ocean Fresh" a seafood store by the airport where there was a selection of freshly caught seafood that was about 1/4 the price we pay at home, we enjoyed several meals out on our large deck. There is regular bus service but we chose to rent a scooter at about $20/day and did not regret it, we traveled all the back roads sightseeing, and there was very adequate storage under the seat to haul groceries, beer, swim gear etc, plus you can park it anywhere.

Room Tip: You can hear the road from the units closest to the front, not so from the ones further back.

We all thank you for your kind comments and we are especially thrilled you enjoyed your upgrade. the view from the villas is stunning and close to the beach. We aim to provide our guests, who wish to be self sufficient, with all the information they require. Vikki is especially helpful with where to shop and where to get the best prices for fresh produce, meat and fish.
Scooters are a great way to get around and to experience the island life style, with the freedom of stopping off at the beach or cafe while exploring.
We look forward to having you stay again in the future.
Kind regards
Debbie

We had an amazing vacation at a very quiet & peaceful villa. The staff were extremely accommodating and knowledgeable .The accommodation was very clean & suited our needs very well. The grounds were impeccable and the pool was lovely. We stayed in a studio and ate most of our meals at restaurants . Breakfast was included with our package. We were located across the road from the beach, the sunsets were amazing. I would recommend this place to friends without hesitation. There are 1&2 bedroom villas as well. It was a wonderful place to relax & unwind .

We stayed at Lagoon Breeze Villas for two weeks over Xmas-New Year's and it exceeded our expectations. We are a family of four, with two girls ages 21 and 17; stayed in Villa #2 which was ideally appointed with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It had a beautiful lagoon view from the porch.
The property is immaculate and comfortable; with a delicious breakfast included each day consisting of cereal, fresh tropical fruits, yoghurt, toast, juice, and coffee. The pool is a good size, and never felt crowded. The best snorkling on the island is right across the road and to the left.
The biggest asset at this resort is the friendly staff; especially Vikki at the front desk. She gave very helpful unbiased suggestions for activities and restaurants, and made all bookings for us.

We also splurged on the one day trip top Aitutaki; which I highly recommend. The landscape is quite different on that island, and the lagoon one of the most beautiful in the world. Well worth the price and time to get there. The Aroa Beach Inn is a fun spot for dinner, and Tamarind House was an excellent dinner destination as well. In addition we did the cross island trek on our own; very strenuous but can be done without a guide. Rarotonga is a wonderful destination with very friendly people and lots to do!

Room Tip: Villas 1-3 have a lagoon view and are great for a family.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay over the Xmas-New Year period, it is a great place to retreat to if you want to avoid the hussle and bussle that comes with Xmas. The two bedroom villa is ideal for families or adults, with the 2 bedrooms and 2 ensuites, everyone has privacy. A day trip to Aitutaki is a good idea and less expensive than staying over there and leaves you free to spend more time exploring the many restaurants and attractions Rarotonga has to offer.
We look forward to the opportunity to host you and your family again in the future.

Debbie

Clean spacious rooms (one bed room villa) air conditioning (which we never used but it was there) and a serviceable breakfast of excelent coffee, toast cereal milk local fruits.. This is a hidden gem because the concierge desk is staffed all morning and they are extremely knowledgeable about the island and can steer you toward your preferred experience, be it across the street at the almost always empty lagoon beach (great snorkling, nice sand, very few other folks) or send you up the beach to some of the resteraunts (the beach makes a much nicer stroll than the roadside or the bus, even at night, bring a light). Pool is large, laundry on site (coin op) other kids to play with, but it never felt like we were too nearby another family thanks to the detached rooms.

We had a fantastic time at Lagoon Breeze Villas, we had a family reunion with 20 people and all stayed there. The accomadation was perfect very clean tidy and the staff were amazing so accomadating and friendly just like part of our family. We hired each of the villas and studio units and it was fanatstic for our little 9mth baby and our 15-18year old cousins.
Thank you so much what a great holiday destination we will be back!

After traveling to Rarotonga for our Honeymoon my husband & I have wanted to return ever since. A couple of kids later & we were back for our 10th wedding anniversary. Joined by my Mother we stayed at Lagoon Breezes & had an amazing time, having only just returned today. We were in a 1 bedroom Villa (2 Adults, 2 Kids) & a Studio (1 Adult). It was the best place we could of stayed, so easy to have our own space but still stay at the same resort to be together for meals etc. We were back from the road in Room 12 & had a lovely quiet stay. There was a lovely mix of couples & Families but everyone was quiet & friendly. For us it has great facilities for the kids (3 & 6yrs) with a Trampoline, Fort/playground & pool, all of which we used daily. The company of the chickens (with chicks), dog 'Coco' & Various Cats (especially Chi Chi) we were never short of company! We appreciated having a Kitchen with full size fridge so we could cook (or use the BBQs provided) most nights & only go out to restaurants when we felt like it. Also having access to a washing machine & dryer was a godsend! The Staff (Vikki in particular) were extremely friendly & helpful about which tours etc were better value. Only wished I'd talked to her sooner to take more advantage of her local honest knowledge. Thank you so much for the amazing service & hope to stay here again soon. Only suggestion would be a few more Kitchen things ie. chopping board, serving plates/bowls, extra Plates etc.

Room Tip: We were in Room 12 (one bedroom Villa - sleeps 4) & it was at the back of the property, away fro...

Thank you for choosing Lagoon Breeze Villas to celebrate your 10th wedding anniversary. It is even more special that you were able to share the experience with your children and mother. The 1 Bedroom Villa is ideal for families with small children, with the separate bedroom for the children, the adults can enjoy a life after dark. Thank you also for making the most of the childrens facilities, we have tried hard to provide the necessary tools for families and individuals to help enjoy their stay with us. Thank you for bringing the chopping board situation to our attention. There should always be a chopping board in the room however yours was being soaked and had not been returned. Our apologies, we have now doubled the number of boards so that this will not happen again. We have also added more bowls to the rooms also.
Once again thank you for taking the time to review our property and we look forward to you returning for your next anniversary celebration.
Kind regards
Debbie

My daughter and I just returned from a fabulous two week stay in Rarotonga. We were very impressed with Lagoon Breeze Villas. Our one bedroom unit was very clean comfortable and had plenty of space for the two of us. The ladies did a great job of tidying our unit for us each day. They work very hard. The grounds were beautiful and lush and the pool and pool deck was a great place to soak up some sun. The snorkeling was great if you crossed the road and walked to the left just across from the dive shop. We did not find better snorkeling on the island.

We really enjoyed the daily breakfast with choices such as yogurt, fresh fruit, cereals, muesli, toast, coconut scones, juice, milk, tea and coffee. The evening happy hour had many good choices too. The front desk staff were so kind and helpful. They gave us good suggestions for activities and places to eat.

Beach towels, snorkel gear, reef shoes and kayaks were available to use. It was nice not to have to find room in my suitcase for my flippers. I took my own mask and snorkel because I prefer to use my own. Garth and Debbie, the owners are very friendly, approachable people. They were always willing to visit with guests at breakfast and to give suggestions as well.

While in Rarotonga, we enjoyed eating at Aroa Beachside Inn which was about a ten minute walk down the beach to the right of the property. They have live music on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and the sunset views were beautiful there. Coco Putt was closed for the holidays so we did not eat there. We mostly cooked our own meals otherwise. It took a couple of days to figure out where we could find some local produce that was less expensive. The grocery prices are definitely quite high. The Saturday market was fun and should not be missed.

We spent a day a Muri Beach. It is a pretty beach and a nice place to swim but don't expect good snorkeling there. We also splurged and did the day trip to Aitutaki. It was the highlight of our trip and well worth the cost. My daughter has her Padi certification and she did a couple of dives while we were there but she felt that you did not see much more than you could snorkeling in the lagoon. She said that the diving was more impressive in the Caribbean. We also did the glass bottom boat tour with Koka Lagoon Cruises. The snorkeling with them was nothing special but the lunch and entertainment were very good. On New Year's Eve we went to Te Vara Nui for their dinner and over water show. It was quite expensive. The show was good but short and the food was very average, not really worth the price.

We are delighted you enjoyed the facilities of our 1 Bedroom Villa during your stay with us. It is nice to have the option of the separate bedroom giving you both your own space. Yes, the snorkelling is great just across the road and being on the Aroa Marine Reserve certainly encourages prolific sea life. Some say that Rarotonga is a destination where you can dive, rather than a dive destination, however as you say the snorkeling is outstanding. It is unfortunate you did not enjoy your experience with Te Vara Nui, generally our guests highly recommend it and consider it good value for money as it is a show, dinner and pickup and dropoff included, however we will pass your comments on to the managers. We also agree with you that the Saturday, Punanga Nui markets are a must and also a great option for fresh, well priced produce. Wigmores is also a great place to stock up on provisions and enjoy a delicious ice-cream cone. Thank you again for your review and we look forward to having you stay again in the near future.
Kind regards, Debbie
