“Cosy Cottage”
Reviewed 24 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Stayed here in April 2017 for an Easter break. This was our second visit to Riverside View. The cottage is located with very easy access to the A352 making all the Jurassic Coast Area easily accessible and with the beautiful Lulworth Cove only 4 miles away, the situation is superb. The Log burner in the cottage makes for warm and cosy evenings. The kitchen is well equipped and was thoroughly clean.
It is perfect for a quiet few days away for two people.

“Warm Cosy and Perfectly Placed”
Reviewed 29 March 2017 for a stay in January 2017

We had a great time staying in this cosy little cottage with Max our black Lab. Plenty of walking which kept him happy and 2 superb pubs close by which kept me happy! One (Red Lion) within 5 minutes walk which stocked a nice variety of beers and did good food and the other (The Countryman), about a 10 minute walk and again had a nice selection of ales and did excellent lunches.
The village shop stocked pretty much anything that you need and the staff were friendly and helpful. Sharon was a helpful host and the only thing we would say didn't go well was operating Netflix but then again who goes on holiday to watch TV! In summary a cosy base from which to explore the beautiful Dorset countryside.

We booked to stay over New Year and were really glad that we did as it was just what we were looking for. A warm ,cosy, nicely furnished cottage that was pet friendly and in a great location. We had to change dates originally due to work commitments however Sharon was very helpful with this which was gratefully appreciated. Close to the coast for walks and with a friendly local pub within 10 mins walking distance, we didn't need anything else during our stay. Nice welcome basket aswell which gave it a personal touch. Would highly recommend Riverside View and we intend to stay again when back in the area. Thanks Sharon
ps - if you stay and like a whiskey then I left some whiskey stones in the freezer by accident so enjoy!

“Last minute get away was a gem!”
Reviewed 12 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Stayed here for a week with our dog too, was just what we hoped for. Cozy, warm and clean. Everything provided. Great base for all the famous sights in the area, we covered Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle, Portland, West Bay ( for Broadchurch fans), Poole, Weymouth, and further a field Plymouth and into Devon to Dartmoor.
We love our Dorset breaks as it is not too far from Essex, so we would stay here again and knowing Dorchester we chose to pop to Tesco's for our provisions, it's home from home.
Owners are delightful and although if you have a dog the garden is a few steps across from the car park its not a deal breaker, just a consideration if you are expecting an enclosed garden to the cottage itself.
All in all brilliant place to stay would visit again and totally recommend.
