We were shocked when we entered the restaurant for dinner and the maitre d' said, "You are gluten free?" Apparently, he'd been made aware of my email when I booked the reservation many months ago, and he was well prepared for our arrival. He informed the chef -- just to ensure that we wouldn't not receive any gluten in our meal, and I have to say that the chef did a magnificent job. I had a superb risotto with wild mushrooms as an appetizer while my husband enjoyed corn chowder. This was followed by a salad, and then I had a veal meat loaf while my husband had angler fish. We were both thrilled with our meals! The service was impeccable, the wine list excellent, and we couldn't have had a more lovely first evening at the restaurant. I can't wait to see what they're serving us tonight! (Oh...I was surprised at breakfast this morning when they served us gluten-free bread and cereal. They've really gone out of their way to accommodate us.)
