Myself, husband and our 12 year old daughter spent 2 nights at Tharnthong Lodge. We stayed in the "Rimtarn Lodge".This place is absolutely amazing! "Prim" the owner was very accomodating. They have a restaurant with a great menu selection,Thai food as well as some "western" dishes.Food was great.Staff were friendly and always helpful. There are many rabbits and other wildlife that live on the property.Beautiful waterfalls and picturesque settings. The lodge is located very close to "Flight of the Gibbon" and the Mae on caves and hotsprings. There is internet access & beautiful firepits. There are many different style lodges to choose from, all looked amazing! We had the whole place to ourselves. The bathroom was done all in natural stone and wood with hot water. We loved this place! Our daughter did not want to leave. Our only regret was the rain:( Oh well, it happens and Prim was great, she gave us big umbrellas to use for our stay.

We really have a wonderful time in this place, the restaurant has such a great thai food and delicious mango juice, I felt like I was in heaven when we have our breakfast in the terrace with such a beautiful views of the jungle and the gorgeous garden where you can relax in the river, read a book or sunbathing.
The owner was a great help and all the staff really nice.
Rooms are beautiful but the only inconvenience was the shower, sometime It doesn´t work properly. Anyway we spent a wonderful time in this hotel and in Chiang Mai.

We read excellent reviews of this place here, and decided to go for the weekend (we were 2 couples). No doubt that this place is absolutely gorgeous and all the animals around are adorable! It was really fun to eat breakfast with cute rabbits playing near us... :) Also the owner was very nice and helpful!

However the rooms were very cold with no way to actually heat them. There was a strange thing with the windows which you couldn't close properly (at least we didn't find a way), and it was sooo cold outside.... As a result all we could do is getting into bed and trying to warm up a bit... The shower was very disappointing with a weak stream of not-that-hot water.

Also since this place is pretty isolated you have to depend on their restaurant, which closes at about 20:00. No 7/11 around... But the food was great :)
