“You can't go wrong here - jungle paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 July 2011

Booked on the internet, they picked us up at the airport and we arrived - simple - thanks Prim and Fu.

This is a great place! set in the jungle with a river running through it, there are various lodges and a restaurant at the entrance to hang out in - I'm not a coffee person but I noticed it tasted great and the passion fruit crush was right up there - I even choose it over beer.

Prim and her colleagues were great and really helpful especially with our baby - he was a bit ill and they drove us to the clinic. They also had internet, ok not the fastest in the world but I got all my stuff done.

I really recommend this place if you want to a place to stay while exploring the countryside around Chiang-Mai - waterfalls, lakes, hot springs, elephants, rafting, temples (it is near "Flight of the Gibbons") etc although it might be worthwhile hiring a car.

Alternatively just a great place to chill out away from everything except nature.

We will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.

We were there for two days as part of our vacation in Thailand, the place is beautiful hidden at a forest, cats, rabbits and chicken are leaving naturally as part of the nature, dogs are not allowed (Rabbits zone) that gives a feeling of peace and freedom.
Prim, the owner and manager of it is real entrepreneur that care 24*7 at all needs of here guests, there is no question that Prim is the key success factor to here resort.
The service is very good and I believe that we should learn how it is possible to offer service without pushing it at all; never will you get (pay) for something that you do not need or want this is very unique in our culture and should be copied to other places

Myself, husband and our 12 year old daughter spent 2 nights at Tharnthong Lodge. We stayed in the "Rimtarn Lodge".This place is absolutely amazing! "Prim" the owner was very accomodating. They have a restaurant with a great menu selection,Thai food as well as some "western" dishes.Food was great.Staff were friendly and always helpful. There are many rabbits and other wildlife that live on the property.Beautiful waterfalls and picturesque settings. The lodge is located very close to "Flight of the Gibbon" and the Mae on caves and hotsprings. There is internet access & beautiful firepits. There are many different style lodges to choose from, all looked amazing! We had the whole place to ourselves. The bathroom was done all in natural stone and wood with hot water. We loved this place! Our daughter did not want to leave. Our only regret was the rain:( Oh well, it happens and Prim was great, she gave us big umbrellas to use for our stay.

We really have a wonderful time in this place, the restaurant has such a great thai food and delicious mango juice, I felt like I was in heaven when we have our breakfast in the terrace with such a beautiful views of the jungle and the gorgeous garden where you can relax in the river, read a book or sunbathing.
The owner was a great help and all the staff really nice.
Rooms are beautiful but the only inconvenience was the shower, sometime It doesn´t work properly. Anyway we spent a wonderful time in this hotel and in Chiang Mai.

We read excellent reviews of this place here, and decided to go for the weekend (we were 2 couples). No doubt that this place is absolutely gorgeous and all the animals around are adorable! It was really fun to eat breakfast with cute rabbits playing near us... :) Also the owner was very nice and helpful!

However the rooms were very cold with no way to actually heat them. There was a strange thing with the windows which you couldn't close properly (at least we didn't find a way), and it was sooo cold outside.... As a result all we could do is getting into bed and trying to warm up a bit... The shower was very disappointing with a weak stream of not-that-hot water.

Also since this place is pretty isolated you have to depend on their restaurant, which closes at about 20:00. No 7/11 around... But the food was great :)
