Our stay in Maisiam was cut short by the need for my husband to be admitted to hospital in Chiang Mai, but even in the short time we were there, we were extremely impressed by the kindness and generosity of Eric, Pranee and their staff. The setting is beautiful, the bungalows are spacious, sparkling clean and attractively decorated, with a generous bowl of fresh fruit, tea, coffee etc and lovely toiletries in the bathroom all provided. Pranee's cooking is delicious too! We're just sorry we weren't able to stay there longer, but look forward to visiting again next time we visit Thailand. Highly recommended!

Our experience at this bungalow was great. Our first room was in the front of the bungalow. The room was bigger, great fresh fruits and the bed was huge. The sheets were a bit threadbare as I broke through the pillowcase and the shower leaked over the bathroom floor. The air con was incredible. The second time, the receptionist was lovely. We got upgraded to a huge room at the front with a balcony. It was super clean and had a bath. The location is great - it's just on the edge of the city.
The breakfast was very good in quantity and quality.

Once again, we really enjoyed the hospitality at Mai Siam plus the beautiful well-equipped bungalows and the delicious food, all in such a lovely paradise garden.

For us it was a great place to relax, although it is perfectly possible to do trips, tours etc. from there.

Staying at the Mai Siam resort was our first time out of our country, and we can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of our lives.

We were greeted by Pranee at the airport, and taken directly to the Mai Siam resort. The resort is a stunningly beautiful place, with local flora all planted by Pranee herself. (make sure you get a tour of the garden).

It was here we met Pranee's husband, the helpful and informative Eric and their lovely daughter, together they genuinely make you feel part of their family, such a feet considering we were there for only 6 days.

There was never a moment of worry when getting around town, as transport was constantly provided. To our surprise the driver actually stayed with us throughout our days, taking us to any place we wanted to go. First class service.

We had most of our meals at the resort, primarily because of the excellent, home cooked food which Pranee made. By far they were the best meals of our time in Asia. She even uses some of her home grown ingredients in her dishes.

There is still so much to say, we have only scratched the surface of the Mai Siam experience, all in all it was a truly spectacular time, one that will forever remain with us. We have no reservation in recommending the resort to anyone.

When you want to take a break and yet be home away from home, Mae Siam Resort is just the place. My family and I realized this pleasure spending one week there from 17th - 23rd of June. At the end of that week it was just a heavy heart for us and for Eric, Pranee and their lovely daughter Marine that we had to bid each other goodbye. That was the closeness between Resort owners and us as their guests, which was fostered during the week.

The homeliness we enjoyed was simply unique. Hearty breakfasts and meals which Pranee cooked 'from the heart' at our requests were unmatched in tastes and service. Eric operated with special personalised service. We had arrived and in haste left one small bag not collected at the baggage conveyor. This contained all our water sports shoes intended for the adventurous white water rafting and bathing of elephants at Patara Elephant Farm. Our plight in having to fumble in the water bare-footed was saved by Eric's dedication in retrieving the bag the next day.

You would be wrong to think that being in the Resort with no swimming pool and other 5-star hotel facilities would be very dull. Eric arranged all the transportation which made it very convenient for us to travel to the various outdoor adventure events. Then when we were back in the Resort, Pranee showed us her garden so well adorned with all sorts of fruit trees and herbs for the kitchen.

The warm hospitality from Eric and his family we enjoyed was indeed something to be remembered.
