we stayed here sat 5 nov 11, as we attended a friend's wedding in Tavistock. Taxi was only £4.20 each way. The room was gorgeous, very spacious and had a sofa in it! We stayed in The Brentor room. the bed was massive and must've been a super king as my boyfriend and I are both 6ft plus but had loads of room!!! and the bed was more comfy than my own! the en suite bathroom was very modern in it's decoration with a lovely walk in shower cubicle. lovely views from one side of the room and the other side looked over the road however there was no road noise. Couple who owned the place were lovely and very welcoming. lovely cooked breakfast in the morning and they couldn't have been more helpful. very good value for money, spotlessly clean. definately at least 4* room.

Room Tip: The Brentor Room was lovely

The room was so clean, everything looked new about it. Plenty of room to move around in, nice touch was a sofa for relaxing on without having to sit on the bed. Lovely modern bathroom. Room faced the road, but hear no road noise.
Has an evening meak & breakfast, both excellent.
Could find nothing wrong and anybody staying here would not be disappointed

The 2 rooms we booked were clean, bright, thoughtfully set out with seating but uncluttered and with plenty of room to move around. Modern bathrooms, lovely views and a hearty breakfast to set us up for a day's walking. The bed was so comfortable I awoke thinking I was at home! Landlord was most helpful in advising which area would be driest for our walks and he didn't let us down (local knowledge shouldn't be ignored). Well worth considering and not far from Tavistock.

Room Tip: Garden room is slightly smaller but has a bath with overhead shower.

On the Plymouth ( About six miles back) to Tavistock (13 miles ahead ) road we came across this Inn on the left and found it was quite a pleasure to be there. There is a bright, modern Bar at one end of a lounge with pleasantly timbered furniture, curving up to the dining area which led to an outdoor area.
The very nice couple were quite helpful, including how to engage the free wi-fi for me. Although our room faced the road, any road noise was not evident and there was a nice view. Another outdoor area led to a small garden and on to the moors.
The room itself was all one could wish for and the immaculate, modern en-suite nice and roomy. We could only stay for one night---pity.
