I chose this apartment because of its relative proximity to the airport and the city of Agadir while being quiet and almost secluded. We regularly drove into Agadir but noticed there were small shops and restaurants around the apartment itself if you wanted to eat out close by. Personally, I also made use of the kitchen in the apartment and cooked my own food fairly frequently also. A large fridge and adequate freezer made the experience a lot easier! The first day, we arrived and settled ourselves, relaxed and got to know our new surroundings. The apartment has WiFi with a strong download speed (stronger than I expected). This made staying in touch with family a lot easier! I also took my Amazon Fire Stick and surprisingly the WiFi was strong enough to allow us to stream live TV which was fantastic over a weekend with many crucial football matches on! That evening we headed up to eat our dinner on the roof while the sunset. Hopefully I'll be able to attach a photo of the view of the bay as the sunsets, its absolutely spectacular and something I ensured I witnessed every night I could, either down at the beach or on the roof. The apartment itself was exactly what we were hoping for, a bit of culture, your classic Moroccan themes with a modern feel.
We were close enough to Agadir to be able to be on the seafront within 10-15 minutes roughly where there was a little more happening. There's a lot of history and culture to witness and be a part of both toward Agadir and in the other direction, sadly we weren't able to do it all - alas, a reason to go back! We will definitely stay at this apartment again the next time we want to visit Agadir.
My top tip to you is to go and visit Hyatt Place (opposite direction to Agadir) which you can see from the roof top of the apartment. Its a 5 star golf resort with a pool. We paid 150D (roughly £11) to use the pool for the whole day. They have an area (behind the bar) to change, showers pool side and two outdoor pools, the larger one unheated and the smaller one heated perfectly. For £11, you get to use everything and they give you towels to use as well as being able to purchase alcoholic drinks and meals poolside. They even have two table tennis tables! Definitely worth a look!
We stayed here for our honeymoon as we wanted somewhere relaxing and secluded.
Amazing views from the roof garden overlooking the bay where you can witness the breath taking sunset every evening. There was also another separate patio area where you could have a bbq one evening if you desired.
The flat is decorated in traditional Moroccan furnishings which gives it that real authentic feel. There is also a fully equipped kitchen so you could prepare food if you wished. We often had breakfast on the roof terrace overlooking the bay.
If you decide to venture out the beach is roughly 15 mins walk downhill through a traditional Moroccan village. There are also a few local shops where you can stock up on amenities and restaurants if you wanted to eat out.
The historical fishing and surf village of Taghazout is also only a short distance down the road if you fancied a trip out for the day. In the other direction is Agadir if you were you can sample the cosmopolitan delights of the beach/harbour.
