We made a reservation by phone.
On arrival, however, they had lost the reservation. Nevertheless; we were seated downstairs in a vaulted cellar which was quite charming. The menu was limited which is not always a problem, but the main course was the choice of one roast meat and one vegetable dish to accompany it. While I can understand that this may be attractive to some, we found it undistinctive and bland. The meat was from a cheap cut and overcooked. There appeared to be little or no French influence. Very disappointing.

Great food, service and ambience. Fantastic view across to an ancient hilltop village. A great restaurant in such a tiny village

Our neighbours in Sain Abbroggio told us about this place so we reserved (a must) and went the next night. Sorry to say but the concept is nice but the food dosn't follow. The meat is only ready to eat around 9p.m and before that time they cut off the outside layer to serve you. The soup which everyone raves about isn't very good and I suspect they use alot of stock cubes if not packets of soup mixed with fresh vegies. the quiche was so so and lets not talk about the gratin which to me was a poor excuse for a gratin. The desserts were definitly industrial. they give you a very small glass of muscadet wine from their vinyards which is nice. They have local wines which aren't too expensive for a restaurant . I'd not go back there again as its more of a gimick then a real restaurant

Fixed menu with your choice of meat and you better be a meat eater and you better be hungry. 35 euro prix fix. Five courses, soup is marrow and ham rich, fabulous but go slow. Second course is probably the best quiche you will ever have in your life fresh from the oven. Third is choice of meats, best were the veal stew, tripe and lamb

Second course is probably the best quiche you will ever have in your life fresh from the oven. Third is choice of meats, best were the veal stew with figs and the wild boar. You are really about to die at this point, but then cheese and desert. Can someone say bromo seltzer? Really fun family style place outdoors of a beautiful stone house on a large stone terrace, with twenty plus tables. Must have reservation, easy to find and 20 minutes from calvi. Beautiful view of the valley, but not the sea..edgard greets everyone.
