Owner description: This fantastic pre-art deco picture palace was first opened in 1912. For decades it was the place to see the latest Hollywood and British blockbusters. It closed in the 1980’s after a short spell as a bingo hall. Now – thanks to a £2.1 million restoration project – the Hippodrome is open again, lovingly restored to its 1926 heyday. With a great program of blockbusters, art house and classic favorites, there’s bound to be something for everyone.

“What a gem!”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

If only every little town around the world could have restored and maintained such a quaint movie house and kept it up and running with current films--both mainstream and indie! A lovely find in a quiet little town. I'm so happy for the residents of Bo'ness that they have this gem in their midst. Worth the trip and visit, no matter what film is being shown.
