Description: The Corbie Inn is a recently refurbished and re-opened pub/restaurant situated close to the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway line. In the summer you will be able to waive to the passing trains on their way to and from Birkhill Clay Mine from the beer garden. The objective and vision has always been to offer the best of real ales and cask beers from local, regional and national breweries at value-for-money prices. Beers are available in pint, 1/2 pint and 1/3 pint measures so you can taste & try and enjoy a selection from the 6 ales on tap. The pub also offers a family-friendly atmosphere where children are welcome and can be served meals until 9pm when accompanied by an adult. A children's menu is available but children are welcome to choose and can be served half-portion meals of their choice from the main menu. Booking for meals is not a requirement but is sometimes advisable especially at weekends and if a set time is preferred.

“Excellent food and friendly service”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

This is the second meal we have had at the Corbie Inn and, as before, the food was excellent. Everything we had was home-produced, the portions were generous and the cheesecake was wonderful. The staff were friendly but not obtrusive. Prices are very reasonable for the high standard of meals on offer.

It's a real pleasure to have a good pub meal in a real pub.

“Terrific pub and grub.....plus a BIG THANK YOU!”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

Six of us reserved a table and a great meal at the Corbie Inn. We had been told to arrive early if we wanted to have a speedy meal before the cinema as they had a party of 17 coming in. When we arrived the waitress kindly moved tables and chairs together so we could have a good chat. The menu has lots of old favourites on, including scampi and chips, haggis, chicken etc and is served quickly, efficiently and with humour. The specials board gave some extra choices and some puds. It's not 'gourmet' but good, well cooked homely food. The beers are superb according to my friends. The atmosphere was fun with lots of laughter going on.
After we left we headed to the cinema in Bo'ness. Just as we were going into the cinema a car drew up with one of the staff from the Corbie Inn holding a cinema ticket...one of our party had dropped it under a table. We were so impressed (and thankful) that somebody had bothered to take the time and effort to come and find us. So, many thanks to the staff of the Corbie Inn....you're stars!!

“Best pub food in Falkirk”
Reviewed 7 July 2014 via mobile

We go here quite regularly and wouldn't go anywhere else now. The food is lovely, very reasonably priced and the staff are always lovely. The pub is very comfortable and it has a great beer garden that my son loves playing football in when we go for dinner.

“Family get together”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

12 of us ate at the Corbie Inn ages between 5-80 all agreed that the food was good and the staff were very pleasant. Both food and drinks prices were reasonable and the choice was very good.
Some family members have used the Inn before hence choosing the venue. When in Bo'ness again I will certainly use the Corbie Inn.

“A demonstration of how to run a pub”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

Everywhere in the country there are pubs dying due to economic and other issues. Here is one that bristles with enthusiasm! I have no idea what it was like before but it is amazing now. A great array of real ales, well kept. Clean, bright décor with comfortable seating. Bright and enthusiastic staff and a wide, top-value menu. This should be filmed for a training video on how to rescue pubs.

Slight negatives - we were looking for it and drove past! Need to get signage better. You hav a massive side wall on the town side which could advertise the pub. Maybe there are planning restrictions? The window boxes are neat but invest in a bold, colourful pub sign.

So refreshing to see a pub working hard to offer quality, value, atmosphere and a great experience. I have no idea who the owner is but he / she should be recruited to revive Scottish pubs. We loved the enthusiasm, value, quality and atmosphere. We'll travel regularly to visit the Corbie. Brilliant.

CorbieInn, Owner at Corbie Inn, responded to this review, 25 June 2014
Hi Paul, there's not really a lot I can say other than thanks for the wonderful comments, they really are appreciated by me and all the staff.
As far as signage is concerned there are some planning issues. We are just on the edge of the town conservation area but there are plans in hand to improve and hopefully, next time you visit things will be different and no chance of missing us.
So, once again, thanks for your lovely review and we all look forward to seeing next time.
Cheers, Gail
