Happy with everything. Even get a detailed map of the small village and recommendations of where to eat. Lovely owners who couldn't have done more.
Set in the most beautiful village I've ever seen. Would love to go back!

This is a well hidden gem, but easy to miss as the entrance is quite small!
The owner was exceptionally friendly and accomodating. Breakfast (full English) was swiftly served to us once we'd ordered the various ingredients to our personal liking, no DIY buffet here!
The room was very neat and tidy with a well equiped bathroom. The only downside was the mattresses on the beds were pretty uncomfortable, but that may just be personal opinion.

Alton Towers is less than 5 minutes drive so ideal for those wanting to get an early start.

Highly recommended.

Many thanks for your kind comments about our breakfast and your stay. It's good to know people are still enjoying Helen's breakfast :-)

We're sorry you found your mattress a little uncomfortable. We do replace them at regular intervals, but it seems the one in your room needs to be done again. This is something we'll be looking into right away.
I'm sure, if you stay with us again, you'll notice the difference :-)

We're so happy you had a good stay with us :-)
We've recently changed our laundry supplier after finding they could not produce the quality of towels we wanted for our guests, so it's nice to know you found them to your liking.

We'd love to see you again at The Laurels, so feel free to book with us directly.

Literally 5 minutes from alton towers lovely little village.
Little tip take a little torch for walking back from any the close at hand village pubs as a very small piece of the walk has no street lights or pavement.
Breakfast lovely and staff lovely

Glad you enjoyed your stay with us and took the time to have a wander round our lovely little village :-)
Thanks for the tip, although there is an alternative to walking down the road which I've discovered recently.

This is the first time I've ever written a review but simply had to about the Laurels. We stayed for 3 nights 4 days and had the most wonderful time. The breakfasts were excellent with nothing any trouble for Phil and Helen. The bedrooms we're clean and beds very cosy. Phil was wonderful with our 2 very chatty kids and the house was decorated with a Halloween theme. I'd definitely recommend the B &B for anyone as it's near the peak district and Alton Towers and wonderful countryside for walking. We look forward to coming back again soon. Thanks so much from the Harwood's and the eye spy kids!

Thanks for the review :-)
We loved putting you up. The kids were a delight, even if they did insist on quizzing me on your eye-spy game! ;-)
We'd love to see you again some time in the future.
