“Ideal for a short break”
Reviewed 27 March 2014

We've just returned from a brilliant 3 night break in Chalet Symphony. The 'above and beyond' service Robin and Alex provide so willingly meant everything from the first email contact to the return transfer to the airport went like clockwork. As everyone says, the chalet is lovely with good sized rooms, comfortable beds, modern en suites with plenty of hot water and a huge living/dining room. Having stayed in chalets where there weren't enough comfortable seats for everyone we particularly appreciated being able to stretch out on one of the four enormous sofas in front of the fire.

With a short break you want to get as much skiing in as possible and as airport pickups, ski hire and ski passes are all organised for you beforehand you can be out on the slopes six hours after leaving England!

The food was excellent every night - imaginative and beautifully presented and we loved the bubbly and canapés beforehand. Jo and Tamzin the chefs are very good. And Robin's porridge in the morning is pretty special too!

With a chalet that's a little away from the lifts and the town you're reliant on your hosts providing transport and this Robin and Alex do exceptionally well. We were able to go wherever we wanted whenever we wanted (within reason) and the pick up points were always extremely convenient. On our last day Alex even met us after skiing so we could change into our shoes and have a wander round Morzine, before coming back for us a couple of hours later. Now that's service!

We've stayed in quite a few chalets over the years and can honestly say that Chalet Symphony takes some beating. Great value, every comfort and superb service.

Room Tip: Rooms upstairs are perhaps a little larger but the ones on the ground floor are nearer the boot room...

Thanks to Robin, Alex, Tamzin and Jo for creating such a great holiday experience. The chalet is outstanding, I shared a twin room downstairs with a friend and the room and en suite were of a good size and well equiped with french doors opening near the hot tub, very convenient! Food is excellent my favourite being the lamb. Robin and Aex are both really accomodating in taking you to the lifts in the morning not only in Morzine, but wherever you want to start skiing, and collecting you at the end of the day. We look forward to coming again next year with a larger group. I have been on many catered chalet holidays and this was one of the best.

This was our second visit to Chalet Symphony and it certainly lived up to the memories of our first trip. Lovely chalet and a very warm welcome. The chalet is out of town but Alex and Robin were happy to provide lifts at agreed times. The food was high quality and beautifully presented, thanks to both chefs. The hot tub soothed our aching limbs as we watched the sun disappear behind the mountains. Looking forward to our next trip already!

Room Tip: The upstairs rooms have more Alpine charm and our room was larger than our previous room downstairs...

I cannot fault the level of service provided by Alex and Robin, from the moment we arrived the mixture of a welcoming ambience and a stunning chalet location and service are unbeatable. Our two children aged 7 & 5 would return tomorrow, as would I, to indulge yet again in the home cooked breakfasts, flexible lifts to and from slopes, friendly company, delicious chef cooked food and not to mention the daily 'bubbles' at 19:25 a personal favourite......Nothing was too much trouble, children made to feel very welcome and the view from the family room, ( beds extremely comfortable) with balcony was magnifique. We felt at home and yet being indulged at the same time. Thank you Alex and Robin, we will be back again.........

Our second visit to Chalet Symphony. This time our rooms were upstairs and I have to say that the balcony, view and the extra space made it that little bit more special.
The food is prepared by one of two chefs and is delicious (lots of it). My favourites were the duck and retro night (won't spoil it for you). Children can either eat with you or, if they are younger, their dinner can be served before the adults. Preceding dinner are canapés and fizz.
Breakfast is great too with plenty of choice. Robin's scrambled eggs are amazing.
Pick up and drop offs work really well and nothing is too much trouble.
There is a relaxed vibe to this chalet making it feel homely, yet you really feel like you are being spoiled.
Thanks guys for an awesome holiday, for Gabrielle's room, for picking her badge up from town and for accommodating my transport needs when I was a little under the weather.
We really hope to see you again.

Just had a fabulous 3 night break at Savoie Flair. So welcoming and organised, Robin and Alex ensured that not a moment was wasted; from airport pick up, ski hire delivery, pick up and drop offs wherever and whenever - even help with planning a ski route!

Just returned from spending Christmas week in Chalet Symphony just outside Morzine. It is quite simply the best chalet I have ever stayed in (and that is over the past 25 years). Robin & Alex are SO welcoming and go the extra mile with every aspect of the holiday, from when we were picked up from the airport, to when we sadly were dropped back there. The food was just amazing - and my very anxious picky 11 year old son was catered for exactly to his taste which meant that he was happy at mealtimes and left his worries behind. It really seemed as if nothing was too much trouble.
Our party of 5 (two families) stayed on the ground floor - each room had its own bathroom and lovely towels, robes & slippers. It was kept exceptionally clean all week - no mean feat when faced with one room of 2 teenage girls!
Robin & Alex cooked an amazing breakfast daily and then dropped us up to the slopes at our convenience even if it meant two journeys for them in the morning. Pick up was equally as great, they were always waiting for us exactly on time every day - even if we were still enjoying our toffee vodka shots apres ski!
Robin was an excellent guide on the pistes and we had the most amazing Christmas Day skiing Avoriaz & Chatel, definitely one to remember. He knew exactly which lifts to take and which pistes to ski. Awesome!!
Both Alex & Robin were quick to organise anything extra that we required - taxis back from town in the early hours (for aforementioned teenagers!), ski lessons, snowboards, basically anything we threw at them despite it being a busy Christmas week on the slopes they managed to sort everything.
The two chefs Tamsin & Joe conjured up amazing food every night, both very talented - each meal preceded by bubbles and canapes - and not just one glass either! The wine with the meals was plentiful and extremely well chosen, and much enjoyed by all!!
I could go on and on, but suffice it to say - exceptional just about sums it up. I almost want to keep this chalet to myself it is so wonderful, but that would be mean!
We had a wonderful holiday, made more wonderful by the company of two fantastic families in the chalet also, and the atmosphere created. Christmas Day was one to remember.
We have already booked for next Christmas & are counting the days already.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL AT CHALET SYMPHONY!
