We visited the sister restaurant of the already famous Bumbu Bali - which is slightly further up the peninsula and of the opposite side of the road. The welcome is adorable and the service and ambience is excellent. There were 4 adults and 4 children and we ordered a complete mix of food to share. The waitress was excellent in telling us when she thought we had ordered enough and she was quite right. The meat and seafood skewers were lovely, the sweet soy pork was a hit with adults and children alike, the satays were the tenderest I have eaten - yes, the chicken was all breast meat, and the fish curry was divine! We will definitely be back! Reservations are recommended as they often have bus tour trips reserve the whole restaurant!!

Perhaps our expectations were too high, but we were disappointed in Bumbu. The setting was wonderful, but the food was uninspiring and the balance of flavours was ordinary. The satay which was advertised as "chicken breast" was obviously thigh - with associated knuckles. The food was okay, but I could get the same at any random restaurant and pay a lot less.

Interesting Restaurant, almost hidden behind a brush wall. Inside it is friendly and one is surrounded by large tables and chairs. Kitchen open so you can see what is going on.
An extensive Menu of local and Indonesian dishes with something for fastidious Westerners.
We settled for Indonesian dishes and were certainly not disappointed.

All round fantastic! The food, the presentation, the ambience, the service were so good we went to dinner there twice and we weren't even staying in the area. Walked in first time, ignoring the ghastly menu pictures on the front façade, and hoping our family would manage the flavours but they were game and they were delighted. The presentation of the food was impressive with little side dishes hot and cool to add to the main order. We shared all dishes and we loved all dishes, particularly the chicken sate and the beef in coconut milk. The shredded chicken with chilli was also tasty. Good idea to book which we did for the second visit. Can be difficult to get a taxi after dinner in the evening so ask the restaurant staff if they can help as they will. Drink prices were reasonable too and a good range for so small a place and love the way they greet everyone as they walk through the door "Selemat malam"

The stunning setting in this restaurant is accompanied by fantastic food.
We ordered the Kaju Murgh Kari (Chicken in cashews tomato and yogurt gravy) and Tuna Sambal Matah ( Grilled fish with chillies shallots and lemongrass). The dishes were presented artistically with chillies and lemongrass for decoration and were portioned well.
Definitely worth a visit.
