Stayed at the Ramada across the road and paid for an upgrade which included a tapas lunch here
I had a beer and the wife had a cocktail . The beer came with a chilled glass , just how I like it and Sues cocktail was top notch with an ice sphere in a expensive brandy glass
The Tapas was fantastic , everything was 5 star however not filling so we thought we'de order dessert . We're so glad we did , the chocolate was one of the best ever !
We wanted to come back for a dinner meal as the menu items looked interesting and innovative however ran out of time . Im not sure why there wasn't more people there ( only us and a group of Japanese ) maybe because its quite opulent and a bit intimidating?? but we were made to feel very welcome and for a couple it was perfect

“Lunch and swim”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

We visited The Sakala for lunch with a voucher included in our package which allowed us to taste 5 tapas dishes

All were exceptional especially the Squid Ink Calamari - we arrived in time for a swim in the beautifully appointed pool overlooking the beach - it was very peaceful as there were no water sports that day due to the Galangan holiday - Although the water sports can also give you a good view of the action

After the promo tapas we ordered another 5 - very reasonable at 35000 Rp each in Aussie $5 incl taxes - very professionally presented and great service

There is a gorgeous restaurant alongside the pool which would have bee nice to dine in the evening if we had more time - its a contrast to the popular Potato Head in Seminyak

Sad that it was possible a little too quiet but I think this week in may seems to be quiet all round

“Lovely service, stunning starter, lacks atmosphere and avoid desert”
Reviewed 19 May 2014 via mobile

Just back from Sakala, first the positives:-
The staff were excellent, very polite very attentive without being intrusive and knowledgable about the food they were serving, I couldn't fault them.
The pea volute to start was the standout dish, it was truly good and would hold it's own against any I have had previously.
Our mains were good a pork festival for myself and veggie pasta for my wife, on that point there was a whole veggie menu and it was extensive and not just the normal.
The bad side was there were three tables being served when we were there and it did feel a bit out of season, perhaps they should thing on how to get more people in, price may be one option.
Lastly I would advise not going for the deserts, mine a cheesecake had not ever seen cheese I suspect and my wife's lemon desert was awful and not edible, it was a shame and the waiter really didn't know what to say when he proudly asked if we enjoyed our desert, only to be told no not really. Would I recommend Sakala to my friend and family , no, shame but a pricy mistake

“Beautiful <3”
Reviewed 18 May 2014 via mobile

Food, ambience, service...lit up pool through the window. Wow. This place was not only gorgeous, but the meals extremely impressive...waitresses were friendly and always available on hand to take your drink order, without being in your face. I highly recommend this place for a beautiful, romantic, special dinner. Definitely the most delicious and classiest place we visited in Tanjung Benoa.

“As good as they say it is!”
Reviewed 10 May 2014

Just checked into the Chedi Sakala, I must say these boys really know their stuff. Anyhow, it was lunch time, wasn't too familiar with the location. Pop opened Tripadvisor to look for a good place for a meal. Surprised to find Sakala Bali ranked #1. I mean, they just opened didn't they? Anyhow, walked over and ordered Tapas. O M G - it was delicious!!! Service was prompt, polite and warm.

I am now waiting to head back for dinner. Will write another review then.

Stay at The Chedi Sakala and eat at Sakala Bali. PERIOD!
