“Relaxing and spiritual ambience with friendly staff and sumptuous gardens.”
Reviewed 23 February 2011

A warm welcome greeted us and we were pleasantly escorted to reception by the friendly staff, to the sound of wind chimes and with the faint smell of incense wafting through the open air lobby. Our first impressions were good, especially about how relaxing it felt. As we checked in, we were given cold towels and cocktails which were gladly received after a 25 hour journey! Our standard room had a beautiful view of the gardens which are well groomed and exotic with very interesting statues and shrines dotted around the place. The bed was huge and furniture was of a good standard with a balcony that was safe for young children. The swimming pools are well designed with huts that encompass a double bed for resting on and jacuzzis around one side. There is also a swim up bar which came in handy (occassionally) ;) . The beach is well maintained and has lighter sand than other beaches in Bali, although there were quite a few rowing boats there that stole some of the peacefullness. The restaurant was good though, we never had a bad meal and breakfast was more than plentiful with fresh fruit, cereals, cooked Indonesian food and Western preferences, eggs to order, danish pastries etc, we couldn't complain.
Outside of the hotel there are some nice restaurants within walking distance and shops and beauty parlours etc. It is a quiet resort, ideal for families, mature couples and honey mooners as it's so relaxed and has everything you need. If you want to visit some nightclubs though, Kuta would be better suited for you as it's about 30 mins to get there and traffic can be very bad at times. All in all we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel as it was so peaceful and serene. The only thing that may be an annoyance to some people was that at 6 am every morning, the windchime music would start playing throughout the gardens and a Hindu prayer was recited, which woke me up every morning. It was quaint at first but towards the end of our holiday i started use earplugs. For some it may be a welcome alternative to an alarm but for others they may want a lie in! I must say though that all the staff were extremely friendly and courteous at this hotel and left me with a very positive impression of the Balinese people. Bali is beautiful and i'm sure this hotel will not disappoint !

We arrived in Bali on Jan. 6 for a 12-day holiday. We stayed at the Ramada Benoa during that time. The hotel was very nice and comfortable, but one person in our group was attacked by bedbugs and had to see the doctor. The hotel was very good and that party and her roommate were placed in another room. Internet service was expensive and eratic. Although they said they had wifi, we were not ablt to connect to it very often in our room. Breakfasts were complimentary and very good. The staff quickly learned our names and usually called us by name when we appeared.

We arrived in Bali after our flight from Sydney. Feeling lagged, we were hanging to have a nap so we arrived at the place we originally booked in Seminyak only to find our bed had bed bugs (Sunset Terrace - do not stay there!). I'd been to Bali once before by myself and stayed at Ramada Resort Benoa. On that original trip I found the hotel to be friendly, charming, well equipped and relaxing and the second time around I found it to be as perfect as the first time

The staff are really friendly here, there are two restaurants (one across the road with a swimming pool adjoined, and cabanas to relax in right next to the quiet beach [lots of water activities here too]). The pool in the main part of the resort is really big and there is a swim-up bar however it wasn't open at the times we went to swim.

Breakfast was included and there was an egg and pancake station.

The rooms are very spacious, bed was huge, and the bathroom was quiet luxurious, although the taps seemed to be a little slow to get hot.

There are heaps of activities going on at the hotel, the first time I stayed there they had a Outdoor BBQ with music & dance entertainment and apparently they do this everyweek.

I would definitely recommend staying here to my friends. It is quieter than Kuta and Legian, and it's only about 80,000 or 90,000 rupiah (less than $10) to get to Kuta.

We were very happy (again) with our stay at Ramada Benoa.

Service was good, though better at the restaurant compared to at the front desk. Disappointed that there is no free wi-fi for a big hotel like this. Powerpoints were also different and they were really nice to lend us a universal plug at no extra charge. They have a swimming pool which I thought was beautiful, except that only one jacuzzi was working. The poolside area has sufficient beach chairs and tents for people to relax.

Had a body treatment at their spa. I had aromatherapy massage. The masseuse was good, but I was disappointed that there was no aroma. The green tea massage oil was supposedly the 'aromatic' part but there was really no aroma as they did not burn any oil. There was also no music. The price is slightly higher than expected but still reasonable for a service offered within the premises of the hotel.

I looked and looked for a few months to find an affordable 4 Star hotel and we finally decided on the Ramada Benoa having viewed many resorts on Trip Advisor. Being our first trip to Bali we picked a beauty and was not dissappointed. We stayed in the Pool Villa with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms both with outdoor showers which set a lovely ambience and was a bit daunting at first, but so cool in the end. The rooms were serviced daily along with our plunge pool. The grounds were beautifully presented due to the many staff working on them daily. The restaurants in the hotel were very well priced with the Seaview being our favourite. The breakfast had good variety with the egg station having lovely greetings and service. What really stood out for us was the attitude and service given by the always smiling staff. Even though their english was limited that didn't stop them from doing whatever they could to help. My daughters were 11 & 12yrs and they loved the place. Also, my parents in-law travelled with us and changed their room twice due to personal issues and this was not trouble at all. They are very accommadating and will help you with anything. From the pick-up at the airport by Dewa to the service at reception by Nirta to the drop off at the end, it was a very professional relaxing holiday. It was 20mins to the airport and 30 mins to Kuta. It was great to get back to the hotel after shopping in Kuta to get away from all the hustle and bustle. Bargain hard with a smile at the many market locations and get a great deal. For those that want oppulence try Nusa Dua, but be warned you will pay alot more. Ramada Benoa is outstanding for value and service. And by the way, we are heading back their in April next year. Good searching.

a descent hotel on an excellent price, nice clean rooms and excellent service.
On the down side the fact that it is located in Benoa which is a little far away from all the action (diving, dining, local tours etc.).

Stayed in Ramada for an international conference that was held in that hotel conference hall. Check in was quick and staff in the reception desk was very friendly. The concierge was very helpful and efficient in transferring my belongings to the room

The hotel serves good breakfast and has a relatively fast wireless internet connection. Snacks and lunch during conference were also good. I wished the hotel served more Balinese specialities instead of Western menu.

My room was at the corner in the backyard of the resort. The room was clean and comfortable. I was also given a plate of tropical fruits. But the color of the tiles in my room was a bit tacky (strange terracotta with touches of white). Some part of the ally going into my room was also dark even at noon. The management should consider replacing the tiles in the alley with lighter one and provide lights

The resort has tropical garden with palm trees and other tropical trees. But some of the trees are quite tall and making hotel corners look dark at noon and swimming pool seemed unattractive. The management should consider trimming or cutting down some of the trees to make the landscape prettier.

Locationwise, the hotel is located almost at the end of Tanjung Benoa and it is relatively isolated from nearest cafes and restaurant
