“You are a guest, not a room number”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2009

Chose this as part of our Silver Wedding Anniversary trip with 3 nights in KL afterwards. The staff are some of the friendliest we have ever met and really made our trip, they come and tell you what is going on each day and what time, so you know when to be ready. Our only problem was a very drunk couple in a neighbouring room who continued their arguments at 3am when they came from the bar, but a word with the Manger got us moved and they were spoken to about it, but we did not mind moving further down the corridor. Others who complained were moved to a higher grade hotel, but we wanted to stay here as we enjoyed it so much - and who wants to stay in a hotel where the staff are not allowede to speak to the guests. We came as strangers and left as friends - it was hard to hold back the tears when we were waved off by the staff with small Union Flags! What a lovely place! Many thanks to the Manager and all the staff.

PS 8 weeks on and the pedicure I had done on the beach for £2 is still looking good, highly recommended with little frangipani flowers and leaves painted on my toes! Fab!!

this hotel is not so special to be honest. the rooms are comfortable and the the staff are ok, though not the friendliest we ever met (especially the guys in the restaurants can be bad-tempered). the hotel is small with just a small garden area, gladly it wasnt too packed when we were there but i can imagine it being very crowded in peak-season. though the beach is cleaner than in other parts of bali swimming can still be difficult due to the very low tide and all the watersport like jetski etc which is on at high tide. if you do book all inclusive than you'll be able to go snorkeling twice a week, take out a boat for sailing or try out a kayak which i thought was very cool, especially the snorkelling! there are other activities going on like aquarobics or woodcarving. the buffet is always under a certain theme like chinese or german food and although most of it tastes like from a canteen back in kindergarden you do find some delicious bits. the "a-la-carte restaurant" chopstick was a complete disaster, we pre-booked but first they didnt have a table, than the food took ages to come and you werent even allowed to chose, it was a set menu. the food was nothing special and the restaurant itself sterile and cold, with slow and unhelpful staff.
all in all the time at Club Mirage was ok, but i wouldnt reccommend going there as you get other and better hotels for that price.

Having booked for 7 days we were so pleased with the hotel, staff and location that we extended our stay for another 12 days rather than go to another hotel. Mr. Sujiarta, the Manager, was very helpful and let us keep our hotel room which has an excelle\t view of the beach and sea. Being a smaller resort than some of its neighbours it has a homely feel to it and all the facilities are close by. Unlike other hotels it has only a short walk to its own private beach. Its games room came in very useful during the evening. Most of all its hard working and friendly staff have made it a place that we would recommend to friends and families. As it is one of the few resorts to do All Inclusive with 24 hours service; my kids could eat whenever they wanted which was a godsend.A special thank you goes to the waitresses and waiters in the restaurants.

We stayed at the mirage in july 'the hotel itself is ok, the staff very nice & friendly ,The Rooms themselves are very poor( especially the bath rooms,) although cleaned & changed every day.
We enjoyed our holiday .
The let down on this hotel for us was the Room,s being so poor.
BEWARE
We wanted to change some money at one of these autherised money exchanges outside the hotel, and the man behind the counter Robbed us of 1 million rupees he counted the money out in piles on the counter (in small notes so you don't notice a lump going missing )asked if we had small change ,we all turned around to look and he drops/flicks 1 million rupees back into his draw.
This guy almost got away with it till we changed more money, ten minutes later because he could,nt change all we wanted to change and we new there was something wrong the guy was playing with the money. .
we went back after we realised what he had done threatend him with the police he gave us the money back,
Five more of these so called money exchanges tried to do the same trick (outside across from this hotel.) it is know they do it.

We just returned from our Bali vacation. We stayed for three times at this resort and we love it. The hotel staff recognised us every time we have returned there and they pampered us with the best treatment. This time at our arrival at the main resort entrance, we have been welcomed with a huge banner with our names on it. If you are comparing this all inclusive resort with others from Caribbean you may say the resort is small and the food offer is not so plenty. But to be honest, I think that always there are 6-7 choices of main meals on top of salads, sweets and dessert. At every lunch and dinner there are different food themes (Mexican, French, Italian, Mongolian BBQ, Sea Food, etc). The hotel staffs are doing their best to make you a memorable vacation. They are bringing there show entertainers, dancers and musical bands. The hotel location is right on the beach, in a quiet location far away from clubs and discos. I think that is perfect for family with kids. I hope we will return soon to Club Bali Mirage for the 4th time.

would i recommend this hotel? ,absolutely.
please ignore any negative reports, this hotel has the most pleasant
staff you could ever want to meet.
rooms are a little tied looking , but very clean and spacious.
toiletries are left everyday, (shampoo etc) towels are changed everyday, and maid service is very good, you are also left a bottle of water every morning x 2.
safe is in the room free of charge, also you can get internet free.(in the lobby)
rooms are sprayed everynight for mossies ,so you dont even need that stuff to take with you,
once a fortnight they spray around the grounds to keep down insects .
so if you hear a loud noise with smoke thats what is happening.(around 7 ish).
pool and beach is cleaned every morning, the grounds are also very clean.
plenty of sunbeds, and beach towels.drinks are plentiful and proper quoters.
food exceptional, different everyday.
entertainment good but not enough.
plenty of shops outside the hotel, right and left.
book a taxis for your days out , they are around £20 and they will take you whereever you want to go.
i can recommend the elephants and dolphins, also a trip to kuta its brill for shopping, plus the fabulous beach.
security is very good, day and night plus every car and bus is checked at arrival of hotel with scanners.

traffic is a bit harassing as you will find if you go , it feels as if you are on a motorbike grand prix track at busy times.
this is the only transport most can afford there, as their wages are are very little.
whole families ride the bike at the same time, husband , wife and 2 children, its very scary.
you will also see lots of stray dogs on the streets ,not a nice sight if you are an animal lover.
but apart from that its a lovely place to go, i will certainly go back .
this hotel is great, you will want for nothing, just ask and its sorted.
all balinese people are so lovely, especially the staff here.
enjoy being spoilt, it was lovely.
anything you want to know please e.mail.
we travelled with mercury direct and flew both ways on the new super jumbo A380, our holiday was faultless from start to finish.

If you are travelling from the UK remember this is a twenty hour trip airport to airport. We took a four day stopover in Hong Kong on the way out which was very enjoyable.
On reaching the Club Bali Mirage we were greeted by hands on General Manager Wayan Sujiarta. As we were celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary he had allocated us to a lovely romantic room overlooking the gardens and the ocean.
The room was spacious, clean and well appointed with four poster bed, balcony with chairs and table, TV and fridge. Whilst there we had towels and sheets changed daily.
Club Bali Mirage is situated right on the beach with beautiful gardens and a well looked after swimming pool. Pool towels were supplied and we never had any difficulty in getting sunbeds on the beach or by the pool.
The food was outstanding with a different themed buffet every lunchtime and every evening. On top of this an a la carte snack meal was available twenty four hours a day as were drinks both alcoholic and tea and coffee.
It really was all inclusive as, apart from the normal food and drink, selected water sports, catermeran sailing, snorkelling trips, cycling, tennis, various sessions on cooking, flower arranging, painting and local language were included,
The real winner though was the staff. Right down from the General Manager to the trainees they were there to please you and ensure that your holiday way totally enjoyable and in doing this they all seemed very happy people.
Many guests are return visitors and it is easy to see why. We are certainly looking forward to our next visit.
Our thanks to Mercury Diorect who arranged the 'best holiday of our lives' and especially to Mr Wayan Sujiarta and staff who made us so welcome.
