We spent 5 days at Cooks Bay Villas. We were very pleased with the quality of the accommodation, the cleanliness and the service provided. The beds were two joinned and were very comfortable. The small private outside courtyard with shower and spa was a great plus. It also had its own washing machine so clean clothes were never a problem. When the breeze blew from the sea we were able to relax in the sunny courtyard. We would definately like to return.

Paradise!! What an amazing place Cooks Bay Villas is to stay at and to have a wedding there. We recently booked out all five villas and had the most fantastic time for our daughters wedding. Shine and Tara were simply the best hosts you could ever imagine and nothing was ever a problem. The place was spotless, the rooms were so spacious and light and had everything you could possibly think of, all the little touches were perfect, the beach right on your doorstep and having the snorkeling gear, and kayaks for your use any time was fantastic. The grounds were immaculate and the pool always lovely and clean. We will definitely be going back there the next time we visit Rarotonga. If you want an awesome place to stay on your visit to Rarotonga we recommend Cooks Bay Villas 100%

Room Tip: All rooms are perfect as all in a row along the waterfront.

We stayed at Cooks Bay Villa to celebrate my fathers 70th birthday. WOW what a place. Shine, Tara and staff are so accommodating and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Both Shine and Tara are exceptional ladies and behalf of my family I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to making feel at home. . The Villas layout are perfect for a couple, a small family or large group. You have a outside shower in your private courtyard which is awesome after a swim in the sea or pool. In this area you also have the washing machine and they have some laundry liquid in their for your convenience(they have thought of everything. You feel very safe knowing that you have security at night just another added bonus.
We had 3 Villas between our family and felt so homely and you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. We had a group of 12 with and ages from 9 to 75 years. All were catered for. On the rainy days you can board games for the kids in reception and for those who love reading there are a range of books. They even have DVD's to watch just ask the team.
You have only a few steps to the seas where you can enjoy the use of the Kayaks and snorkelling equipment(no charge). I fully recommend you have a snorkel and enjoy watching the sea life, my niece and nephew loved it. They also have a good supply of life jackets for both adults and children.
The pool is awesome the other place my niece and nephews enjoyed when not in the sea. You have a well equipped BBQ area that can cook up a great meal in now time and very easy to clean after.
You have a short walk to the Wigmore's Store which has a daily supply of the local Island Donuts and other local foods. You can buy almost anything there even single beers if you need to quench your thirst. On Saturday their is the local market in Avarua which is a great place to look at the local wears and enjoy a fresh fruit smoothies.
We plan to return with the balance of our family and book the whole 5 Villas. Once again I fully recommend to anyone, couple, family or group not to go pass staying at the Cook Bay Villa as we are starting to save for the next trip already and we have only just left. Meitaki from my family to yours

Room Tip: Any Villas a good one as they all overlook the beach.

In 2012, we stayed at Cooks Bay Villas in the Cook islands. Being so impressed with Shine and Tara, their hospitable natures and wonderful accommodation, we decided that this would be the perfect venue to be married at and held four villas in anticipation for October 2013.

You will not find any better hosts on the Island. Shine, Tara and the staff at Cooks Bay Villas were just brilliant. I decided to plan and manage the wedding myself, instead of paying a wedding planner. Shine and Tara assisted me all the way through the planning stages; from recommendations of a caterer (Tooks and Megan - Coco Putt), celebrant (John Kenning), hireage company (Tina - The Tileshop) and bakery (Martin – LBV, Muri). They even followed up with phone calls to various people, when I had not received replies via email. It is quite normal to have to wait some time, for a reply, so don’t panic.

Although the weather was not as pleasant this time around, all the children entertained themselves in the pool and unbeknown to us, Shine taught the girls a Cook island dance, of which they practised with her every day, for the wedding.
On the day of our wedding, Shine, Tara and the team had erected a pergola on the beach, covered in greenery and flowers. They took my young nieces and daughter out to collect frangipani from one of their homes and scattered these along the walkway areas in front of all the villas and the beach. Talk about over and above, however it looked absolutely beautiful. Any bride would have been gloriously shocked, as I was.

Cooks Bay Villas have a purpose built entertainment/function area which sits fenced off between the villas and road. This was the perfect location for our after wedding breakfast as it was both sheltered and private. The area is big enough that it allows for outside entertainers also, as we had booked drummers and fire dancers from Crown Beach Resort; of which I can highly recommend by the way. We also had George Williams as DJ for the night; also highly recommend.

For us, this was our third time back to the Cooks. For the majority of our family members in attendance, this trip was their first. Booking four of the five villas, this became our home away from home. The villas are beautiful, spacious and clean and the outdoor shower and spa are an added bonus also.

Thank you to all the staff at Cooks Bay Villas, for helping to make our wedding and family holiday such a memorable one and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Tracey and Dane

What can I say, this place is amazing! Shine, Tara and the staff are just amazing. Very friendly and accommodating at any time you need them. The villas are very well set out, all the comforts of home in the beautiful paradise setting of the Cook Islands. The beach front is but a few steps from your villa, the lagoon is sheltered with golden sands. A substantial welcome pack is provided with everything you need to get started upon arrival. Fresh, delicious fruits are delivered each morning to your patio. Kayaks and snorkel gear for guest use are great. I cannot rate Cooks Bay Villas high enough, anyone who stays here will absolutely love their stay and the hospitality provided. Thank you again for a fantastic six night stay, we certainly cannot wait to come back again! :)
