“A hidden gem - you have to try it!”
Reviewed 24 April 2012 via mobile

Just home from our first meal at the restaurant.
This is a hidden gem you could easily pass without noticing. Lovely fresh fish ( had tempura fish and then scallops but also a good range of meats on the menu.

The restaurant has a good range of reasonably priced wines, not pages and pages but certainly a depth of wines including 1 local one.

Service was warm and friendly - not professionally trained to such at extent they can't talk to you.

The only criticism I have have is their street presence - guys get your branding improved and you'll get more trade!

In all we loved it and will be back for fresh local crab later this week.

I worked with this chef back in the day when pressure was at its optimum in the kitchen and his refined quality to excellence was second to non I've ever had the privilege of. Top rate food never a moment of distraction to both preparation of food and presentation of it. If you like fish or indeed you like food then it is a must. Brill by name Brilliant by Quality.
