My husband and I stayed at the Avalon for 3 nights in July 2014. I can't say enough about how amazing this place is! The location is absolutely stunning with breathtaking views. The rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful. The owners, Frank and Val, have their heart and soul in the place and it shows! Dinner is superb (and I am not sure if I have ever dined with such an incredible view),and Frank happily accommodated my dietary restriction (no seafood). The hotel is truly relaxing--it is really away from it all. We were trying to decide between the Avalon and joining a 3 night gulet cruise out of Feithye....I am sure glad we picked the Avalon. Perfect romantic getaway for a couple.

After spending a week at Avalon, we have returned relaxed, smiling and tanned.

The food included within the half board option provided a well thought menu each day (especially catering for a vegetarian) perfect portion sizes and variety.

The beach is approximately 20 minutes walk away (take walking shoes!) and we were delighted at how pretty the beach is - beautiful turquoise waters practically on our doorstep. The views from Avalon are breathtaking.

Frank & Val were extremely accommodating, friendly and made us feel welcomed through out our stay. They have created a tranquil oasis in the Turkish mountains over looking the Mediterranean Sea.

We couldn't recommend it enough.

Thank you for such a lovely holiday. Xx

After 1 week in a villa in Kalkan, we stayed 3 nights in Avalon for a change of scene and pace. Avalon is perched on hillside in Kabak, virtually at the end of the dirt track road. It is not one for nervous drivers. It is well worth the effort for the endless views of sea and mountain. The hotel consists of spacious cabins which have been fitted with comfortable 4 poster beds and a lovely modern bathroom. There is a terrace and bar where wifi is available and a gorgeous infinity swimming pool.
Meals were a simple Turkish breakfast and a three course dinner of fresh home-grown and local produce. Prices of food and drink were very reasonable.
The owner, Frank , is an absolute gem. He and wife Val treat all guests as friends and he is an endless source of advice and local knowledge. He will come up with suggestions for those wanting activities and goes above and beyond the necessary.
During our stay we visited Olu Deniz and did tandem paragliding. We were glad to escape its Blackpoolness for the calm oasis of Avalon. We also did a small taster section of the Lycian Way at Frank's suggestion. We were hooked and would love to return at a cooler time of year to do more.
We think Avalon is best for couples. You can be as private or as sociable as you wish.Dinner tables are set for two. If you want tranquil, rural Turkey rather than lively brash resorts, this is the place to come. A good balance between luxury and budget is achieved.
We wish Frank and Val well and hope to return to resume our Lycian Way walks.

Avalon is surrounded by amazing views of Kabak Valley. It's a great place for a quite and romantic vacation. Bungalows are very comfortable and they all face the sea. Frank is very helpful, so are other members of the staff.

A few things to improve ---- The breakfast was supbar given the quality of the hotel. They should serve bigger portions and vary the food to represent the richness of Turkish breakfast.

Room Tip: We stayed in Bungolaw #3, right behind the swimming pool. It was great other than some early morning noises at the pool. It has a high ceiling and a large bathroom.

We had wonderful 5 day stay at clean and relaxing bungalovs. Osman Abi, Bayram Abi, Göksel and Frank were really sincere and welcoming. We felt ourselves at home. Every morning we woke up and opened our eyes to the amazing view of the mountains and the sea. The infinity pool was perfect, giving the feeling that you swim in the sea. However if you insist on going to beach you should never forget your trainers. You can enjoy delicious Mediterranean Food. If you want to relax, long for silence and spend your holiday in the nature - trekking, hiking - this hotel must be your first stop! Thanks a lot to Frank&Val and all friendly staff!
